Hello Everyone,

I must apologize for the notice that went out yesterday.  We recently decided to change our Monday bike ride to a run.  So this week, all you need to bring is your running shoes!  We will run anywhere between 3-6 miles and will base that on who shows up.  We will also make sure no one runs alone.

The Luna Chix will do these Monday runs through the end of September.  Then we need to start working on LunaFest, our main fundraiser for LunaFest.  We will also be helping to organize a local adventure race, RAYOR, and hope many of you will come out to participate.  Details will be coming shortly!

We hope to see you out there!

Hello Everyone!

If you're able to join us for the ride tonight, remember, we're meeting at 5:45pm so we can be riding at 6:00pm sharp.  We will ride around and hour and 15 minutes and then, for those of you interested, we will be running a short 2 miles.  Please remember to bring your running shoes!

For those of you that have yet to join us, we'd love to see you.  And if you've never run at Waterfall Glen, the path is crushed limestone and is a local area favorite!

See you tonight!

Hi Everyone!

We've had some great rides.  Please note we are starting earlier now to allow us to finish before it gets dark.  For this week, we are also going to be running a short 2 miles after the ride.  This is what's known as a "brick".  Please bring your running shoes if you'd like to join us!  Otherwise, if you just want to be in for the ride, that's fine too.

See you out there!

I just wanted to send out a reminder and make sure that our newest
group members hear about the open water swim clinic on Saturday August
12 (that's coming up soon!). We will have Mary Jo, masters swimmer
and Ironman Triathlete available to give tips on handling the group
start, sighting, and wetsuit techniques. It's also a good chance to
get some actual open water practice with your wetsuit so you feel more
comfortable when you get to your race.

When: Saturday Aug. 12 at noon
Where: Ohio Street Beach in Chicago
Bring: Wetsuit, swim cap and goggles.
Recommended donation: $5 for Breast Cancer Fund

If you are interested, please reply to this message and we can get
some carpool groups put together. Also, if you know other people who
might be interested, please encourage them to come. Men are also
welcome at any Luna event!

Mark you calendars, this one is HOT!

What: Open Water Swim Clinic
When: Saturday August 12, noon
Where: Ohio Street Beach, downtown Chicago
Bring: wetsuit, swim cap, goggles

This would be a great tune-up for the Chicago Triathlon. Our very
own Mary Jo, Ironman Triathlete and Masters Swimmer, will be on hand
to give tips on everything from managing the chaos at the start to
taking off the wetsuit at the end. Be sure to take advantage of
this opportunity to test out your wetsuit and work on those open-
water skills. It's also a great way to meet some other triathletes
from the area.

Also note this clinic is open to men as well as women. We will be
taking donations for Breast Cancer Fund. A $5 donation is
suggested. The more people who come, the more money we can raise to
fight breast cancer.
