Hello Everyone,
I know you're getting a lot of calendar reminders from this YahooGroup, but I wanted to provide a recap of our upcoming events! Please join us at the following:
Wed - 5/28 bike ride from Waterfall Glen. Starts at 6:15pm, next week, we'll move to 6:30pm. This is a NO DROP ride which means you WILL NOT BE LAST! One of the Luna Chix always stays back to make sure everyone is safe. If you have never ridden in a group, this is where you want to start! Riding is much more fun and much safer when you ride with friends. These rides are free and all levels are welcome. We'll also be heading out to Kerry Piper after the ride for some socialization! Please join us.
Saturday 5/31 - Transition Clinic at Endure It. Many of you are doing your first triathlon...we ALL started there once and know you have a ton of questions. Come to this clinic and put your fears and anxiety to rest. We'll tell you everything you need to know and even offer you some practice time so you'll look like a seasoned triathlete at your race! There is a fee for this clinic - $20.00 - and it all goes to the Breast Cancer Fund. We'll also have raffle prizes and refreshments. There will be an optional 3 mile run afterwards...right past Centennial Park, where you will be swimming come June 22nd! You can sign up here on Active.com (I sent a separate email directly from their website) or you may also register on site.
Monday 6/2 - Luna Chix run at Runners Grove. And here's the best part...we know some of you are busy Moms and have issues getting work outs in due to lack of day care. Well, we'll be taking care of that for you! During our Monday night runs (first Monday of every Month), we will provide day care FREE OF CHARGE when you come out to run with us. We are running/walking approximately 3 miles and welcome everyone to Ballydoyle afterwards for some social time. Just like the bike rides, this is a great place to start working out in a group.
Though our workouts are targeted for women, men will never be turned away. If you want to bring a spouse, significant other, friend, brother, whoever...the more the merrier!
Just come out and see what the Luna Chix are all about...you won't regret it!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me directly.
Happy training!
