1. Holiday Running Schedule

Christmas and New Years fall on a Saturday this year and are in
direct conflict with our weekly run. I am not sure who was in
charge of scheduling, but I can assure you they did not check with
me. So now we have to deal with the conflict. As of now, we will
cancel the Christmas day run. Let me know if you still want to run
that day. If I get enough responses, I will send out another email
to let everyone know it is back on.

We will hold off on deciding what to do with the New Years Day run.
I know that all of you are responsible drinkers, so I am sure that
hangovers won't be an issue. Just in case, we will wait for
feedback to decide. Let me know what you think about running that
morning.

2. Alex and Todd's Posole Party – Monday 12/20

Alex and Todd have invited the Front Runners to their annual Posole
Party after our run on Monday 12/20. Here is the scoop"

Posole Party
Monday, Dec 20th
7:30 PM
3057 N Alexander St
(704)-376-9639
BYOB (I'll have a starter set)

Hope to see you there,
Alex and Todd

3. Corporate Cup Half Marathon Relay Teams

The Corporate Cup Half Marathon is scheduled for Saturday 3/5/05.
This will be an official Front Runners event. The race options
include a half marathon, a 3 person half marathon relay team and a
5k. Mike Rogers is going to coordinate training plans for the half
marathon so don't worry if you have never run 13.1 miles before. We
will help you prepare. Details to be available soon.

For those not wanting to run the half marathon by themselves, we
will be forming 3 person teams to run the race. The first person
will run 3.1 miles (5k). The second will run 5 miles. The third
will run 5 miles. This will be a great way to participate in a half
marathon without having to bother with the whole 13.1 miles!

Race details are available at
http://www.ymcacharlotte.org/Uptown/HTML/Pages/index.htm

Let me know if you are interested in any of the options.

4. Group run reminder

Don't forget our weekly runs:

Monday night at 6:30 PM, Dowd YMCA back porch, dinner afterward.

Saturday morning at 9:00 AM, Liaisons parking lot, breakfast
afterward at Einstein Bros. Bagels on South Blvd.

Also, if you are interested in a Thursday night run, remember the
Bloody Mary Running Club, which meets at the Dowd YMCA back porch
each Thursday, 6:30 p.m., dinner afterward. Contact Aprille at
aprille.shaffer.c568@... for more information.
