1. 2nd Annual Front Runners Gift Exchange – Monday 12/6

We had so much fun last year we decided to do it again. The Front
Runners will have a Christmas Party Gift Exchange after the regular
Monday night run on 12/13. The Party will be at Fuel Pizza. The
gift exchange will be in the Chinese Gift Exchange (Dirty Santa)
format. You can attend the dinner without participating in the gift
exchange. The target price for the gift is $10-15. These should be
real gifts, not gag gifts. Keeping with the running theme would be
nice but feel free to get anything you want.



2. Turkey Trot 8 k – Thursday 11/25

This will be an unofficial Front Runners event. Anyone that is
still in town for the holiday is invited to run. I know that at
least a few of us will be there sporting our fabulous Front Runner
shirts. The race is Thanksgiving morning. Do the race and you get
a free pass to eat anything you want the rest of the day. How can
you beat that deal! Registration fees: $20 by 11/19, $25 by 11/24,

3. We need a Social Director

OK all you party planners, it is time to strut your stuff. We need
someone to coordinate our social events. Events may include
brunches, dinners, parties, local races, regional races and anything
else you want. The social events could be organized by a group of

4. Southpark Mall: Simon Evening of Giving – 11/21

On November 21, from 6:30-9:30, there will be an exclusive
(yes...exclusive) after-hours event at Southpark Mall. This event is
designed to raise money for local charities including Metrolina AIDS
Project and the Human Rights Campaign; all proceeds from the event
go directly to the charities. During this 3-hour event many stores
in the mall will offer discounts to guests. In addition, there will
be fabulous drawings every 30 minutes (winners do not have to be
present to win). This is a great opportunity to get your holiday
shopping completed!

5. Front Runner Shirts – they make great stocking stuffers!

We are down to 3 Front Runners shirts left from our initial order.
They are Mizuno brand white shirts with a little bit of black or
gold trim under the arms. They have the Front Runner logo in the
center of the chest and a small Charlotte Running Co logo high up on
the left side of the chest. The shirts do run small so you may want
to select the next larger size if you are not sure.
