1. Turkey Trot 8 k – Thursday 11/25

This will be an unofficial Front Runners event. Anyone that is
still in town for the holiday is invited to run. I know that at
least a few front runners will be there. The race is Thanksgiving
morning. Do the race and you get a free pass to eat anything you
want the rest of the day. How can you beat that deal! Registration
fees: $20 by 11/19, $25 by 11/24, no race day registration.

2. Southpark Mall: Simon Evening of Giving – 11/21

On November 21, from 6:30-9:30, there will be an exclusive
(yes...exclusive) after-hours event at Southpark Mall. This event is
designed to raise money for local charities including Metrolina AIDS
Project and the Human Rights Campaign; all proceeds from the event
go directly to the charities. During this 3-hour event many stores
in the mall will offer discounts to guests. In addition, there will
be fabulous drawings every 30 minutes (winners do not have to be
present to win). This is a great opportunity to get your holiday
shopping completed!

3. Front Runner Shirts – they make great stocking stuffers!

We are down to 3 Front Runners shirts left from our initial order.
They are Mizuno brand white shirts with a little bit of black or
gold trim under the arms. They have the Front Runner logo in the
center of the chest and a small Charlotte Running Co logo high up on
the left side of the chest. The shirts do run small so you may want
to select the next larger size if you are not sure.

OK, Daylight Savings time is over. It is now dark at the start of
our Monday night run. It is time to break out your reflective
running gear if you haven't already. Flashing lights and reflective
gear can liven up your drab running wardrobe. How can you go wrong
with more accessories? Be safe out there and make sure you can be
seen!



4. Group run reminder

Don't forget our weekly runs:

Monday night at 6:30 PM, Dowd YMCA back porch, dinner afterward.

Saturday morning at 9:00 AM, Liaisons parking lot, breakfast
afterward at Einstein Bros. Bagels on South Blvd.

Also, if you are interested in a Thursday night run, remember the
Bloody Mary Running Club, which meets at Aprille Shaffer's house in
Plaza-Midwood each Thursday, 6:30 p.m., dinner afterward. Contact
