37th Annual Strawberry Festival


ENTRY FEE: Pre-registration fee $15.00/both races $20.00, until March
28, 2008, $20.00 through Race Day, April 13, 2008. Race Day
Registration begins at 7:00 am and ends at 7:30 am.

IN-PERSON REGISTRATION: Runners may register in person through March
28, 2008 at Ponchatoula Fitness and Berryland Cleaners in Ponchatoula


STARTING INSTRUCTIONS: The 1 mile fun run will begin at 8:00 am. The
10K will begin at 8:30 am. Both races will begin at the Ponchatoula
Jaycee Park.


SPLITS/FLUID STATIONS: Mile marks will be posted every mile. Fluid
stations at 2,4 & 5 mile points
T-SHIRTS: Specially designed T-shirts will be given to each pre-
registered runner. Runners who register on the day of race will
receive T-shirts while supplies last.


AWARDS will be given as follows:

A. Overall male and female (1 mile fun run and 10k)

B. 1st, 2nd, 3rd place finishers in each of the following age groups
(male and female):

1. I mile fun run: 10 and under, 11-13, 14-17, 18-29,30-39,40-49,50-
59, 60 and over.

2. 1Ok: 17 and under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.


PRESENTATION: Main stage on the Strawberry Festival Grounds at 10:30
am.

REFRESHMENTS: Fresh fruits, Strawberry Shortcake, water and soft
drinks will be available to all race finishers.

In consideration on this entry acceptance, I hereby for myself, my
heirs, executors, and administrators waive any and all rights and
claims for damage against the Ponchatoula Jaycees, Ponchatoula
Strawberry Festival Board, South Tangipahoa Association of Runners,
the City of Ponchatoula, Ponchatoula Police Department, Tangipahoa
Parish Sheriff's Department, and/or any individual associated with
these organizations, for any and all losses, injuries or death
sustained by me in the event. I will additionally permit the free use
of my name and picture in broadcast, telecast newscast, newsprint,
etc. I have sufficiently trained for the completion of this race. My
physical condition has been verified by a licensed medical doctor.
