Here's an update on our "Lakefront Runners" group in case anyone was
wondering: In an attempt to give the old Val Riess gang a place to
meet to run together once in a while, I invited everyone to meet at
the Mardi Gras Fountain near Canal Blvd. on Lakeshore Drive on
Saturdays/Sundays when there's no race. Mostly it's been Jeff G.,
Kirk D., Fred L, Perry B. and me, Eve K. running together. Since the
weather is so warm, we are now meeting at 6:30 a.m. at City Park
across from Story Land. It's a lot cooler in the shade, and there's
construction going on at Lakeshore Drive so for now, it's CIty Park,
Saturdays for those interested. Hope to see you all soon!
