The Chalmette Track Club Christmas Party will be on
December 29, 2006 at dusk or later (7:00 to 12:00).
The after Christmas date is appropriate (at a less busy time)
and symbolic of our race starts. The location will be at the Gioia
log house in the woods at 1332 Bayou Rd. in St. Bernard, Louisiana.
The only similarity
to prior years is that CTC will provide food and drink and members
are invited to bring a dish to share. Call 504 452 1276 to coordinate
your dish so we don't have 17 of the same dish. In the past, the food
has been the highlight of the party. We will also have an election
and/or junta to determine officers for 2007. We will have a big fire,
which may or may not be used in the election.

Directions to the cabin in the woods:

Find Chalmette. From The intersection of Paris Rd.
and Judge Perez Drive, travel east toward
Pelicanman. After touring Meraux, travel over the
Violet bridge. In a little less than 3 miles you
will be at the junction of East Judge Perez and St.
Bernard Hwy. Turn left. After four tenths of a mile,
across from a faded red building turn left across
the bayou. Take an immediate left on the property
and park in the front yard, or behind the shack near
the pond. Do not drive over my new post storm orange
trees. Walk the rock road back to the house. If you
