To let the group know that as of today 11/16/09 I will no longer participate as
Group moderator fro North or Central Florida groups and will be removing my
memberships from all three groups. I have return both the North Florida group
and Central Florida group home pages to the way they were when I acquired the
groups. Its been fun.

Hi Folks,

The CRABS will be riding the West Orange Trail tomorrow, Tues., at 9:00am, starting at the Winter Garden Station.  If you care to join us we will be meeting for breakfast at 8:00, Winter Garden Diner across the street and just west of the ride start,
Any questions call me (C) 631-294-4075. If the ride is a no go due to weather then a cancel post will be up on the net by 6:30.

Gusy,

Thank you ALL who participated in our Weekend Bent Family Reunion!!! 40 of you joined us for the pot luck dinner, The Saturday Happy Hour and evening dinner.

About 65 (probably more but it was hard to count) of you came to ride Saturday morning. A small group of riders did a short ride on Friday (before our Welcome Wagon Event). Lots of folks magically came to the same spot for lunch (on Saturday)  where I must say I had one of the best burgers EVER and .... I hear the food at our restaurant of choice was pretty darn good.

On Sunday, some of you got up really early to ride w/ Regis or explore the North side of the Trail. Others, explored the North Side of the trail as scheduled (8:30 AM) and others chose to sleep a little longer and hit the trails when the temperatures were a bit warmer (a smart move).

As Willie mentioned to me, the weather was not PERFECT but according to his Weather Meter, it was about 99.99999999999 per cent PERFECT. Can we ask for more? I suppose we can but it won't happen in spite of our weather control powers.

Everyone who came was really friendly and I must thank you all again. I certainly hope you all had as much fun as I did.  I would also like to extend a special thanks to Willie for all his help and of course, I should also thank our sponsors for their generous donations (Atlantic Bicycles, Cycling Solutions, Hamton's Edge Bicycle and Trike Shoppe)

Once again, THANK YOU. ALL. We have already started to make plans for a different kind of TREAT (and yes, you may run over Willie with your personal bent or thank him for the idea). We're thinking about about a Three Bent Trail Quest. The idea is to hit a different trail, on three consecutive days (long weekend) and we're working on a date and logistics. Stay tuned.....

Once again, THANK YOU! Susan and I had a BLAST!

Jose

Johanne and I want to add our thanks for a marvelous weekend event. Meeting old and new friends was a real treat. Any opportunity to ride the Withlacoochee is always special. It was so much more with the perfect weather and socials.

Thank you to Jose and Will and everyone else who had a hand in putting together a wonderful event!

Terry, it seems you have missed out on all of the chatter that has been going on for the past month about this get together.  It is a weekend long recumbent mini-rally, in it's second (?) year of being if I'm not wrong.

Are there any more details available for this outing? The title says "Weekend", but only Friday is described. And seriously, 1 PM to 12 AM? That's 11 hours. Somebody is pulling someone's leg here - what time is the ride really?

Guys,

As I mentioned previously, about 39 you have told me you plan to participate in tomorrow's Pot Luck Dinner by the Pool.

Here are the obligatory RULES:

1) NO GLASS by the pool.

2) You MAY bring the CHAIR in front of your ROOM but you MUST return it to its original location.

3) The organizers will appreciate if a few of you will help us CLEAN UP after our little "party". I told the management that we have a group of WELL BEHAVED CYCLISTS who are willing to make sure we don't MAKE a MESS. (Please dont make a "mentiroso" out of me)

4) Last but not LEAST, PLEASE, PLEASE, EAT and DRINK as much as your belly can hold so we don't have leftovers!!!

Enjoy and I'll see you tomorrow!!

Jose

Sorry Jose, but started feeling bad this afternoon and just went downhill.
Looks like I am postponing my Florida trip by a week. I am really bummed, but
will try to catch up with some of you down South. I will probably still ride
the coochee or maybe the trail in Tampa on my way back North on the 28th/29th or
so.

Hey guys,

The Withlacooche Bent Invasion Weekend  is FAST approaching.  I know that many of us are counting each second that goes by.  Please remember to come by the Central Motel's pool area THIS FRIDAY,  at around 4:30 PM. A welcome wagon will be setup complete with some drinks and junk food, compliments of our sponsors: (http://www.atlanticbicycle.com/ , http://www.cyclingsolutions.com & http:www//hamptonsedge.com/ .  You'll be able to pick up your schedule, ID tag and  a few discount coupons from our sponsors.(When you ride with the Florida Bent Riders you get to ride for free, enjoy free snacks - which is quite important given the fact we're an eating club with a cycling disorder - and save lots mula on your next purchase of bent toys and accessories)

Following the Welcome Wagon, 39 of you have told us that you'll be participating in our Pot Luck Pool Party (5:30 PM - 8 PM) (Thank YOU WILLIE for helping us organize this party) If you have not received an invitation for this Pot Luck Dinner and/or told Willie what you're bringing, please be sure to email soflakettwiesel@...>,

We expect about 55 riders to join us the following day (Saturday)for the AM ride and evening dinner. Also,  be sure to stick around Saturday afternoon  and check out a few of the trikes offered by  http://www.TrikeShoppe.com , our forth event sponsor The good folks from Trike Shoppe LLC will be there in the flesh to demo their bikes (GreenSpeed and many others) and just as importantly - if not more so - they plan to please/fill our bellies with drinks/beer and snacks!

On Sunday we have a couple of alternate rides, a trail ride for slower riders (like me) and a FAST ride, compliments of Regis of Hamptonsedge.com fame!!!

For more details, PICK UP the RIDE schedule Friday at 4:30 PM (@ the Welcome Wagon) or Saturday at around 8:40 AM (just before the ride & traditional photo op session.)

So.... start packing..... start getting your bent contraptions ready for this weekend!

Your mission MUST be completed and failure is NOT an OPTION: Your mission is simply to BE THERE!!!!

See you in a couple of days

============

By the way, if you happen to get to the hotel early THIS FRIDAYT (say, just before 2 PM), LOOK for Willie as a group of early arrivals plan to do a little PRE-Welcome Wagon Ride on the Trail!!!
