Antoine, maybe? :) I don't think he'll ever talk to Ainge again. Civilly.

I'd take him back in a heartbeat.

He isn't as
physical as Ben Wallace or as smart as Bill Russell. At 6-9 we
would be abused. He doesn't dominate at the 4 spot which means he
would really struggle at the five hole IMHO. A seven footer is still
seven foot tall in the last quarter where as a springy jumper has
lost some hops at that point. It sjust would not work. If he was a
tough guy like Wallace with some heart maybe but he isn't. The guy
can jump but knowing when to jump is jump as important and maybe
more crucial to one's success.
Lampe has never really played well. I would like to get rid of some
of the roster space as well. But i would hold off on a Eurostiff
I cringe and that guy is mega stiff.
Mihm 's numbers for minutes played are as good as Swift if not
better if he got equal time. Jerry West is often thought of one of
the best Gm's. If he doesn't want him why would we? His track
record of letting them get away is not that bright in fact I think
this would be a big mistake. Blount goes down and we are screwed.
Mihm averaged :
MIN PPG RPG BLK TO FG
17.8 6.3 5.4 1.0 .83 .488
Swift
MIN PPG RPG BLK TO FG
19.8 9.4 4.9 1.53 1.14 .469
We are know Swift draws fouls 13th in the league. But Mihm is 6th
in the league for offensive rebounds per 48 minutes and 10th in the
NBA in rebounds for minutes played. I am sure that is why Danny
acquired him.
Looking at the numbers is it an upgrade?Slayer, I read the same things out of those numbers. An center giving a team 11 rebounds per 35 minutes in an average game is no small thing. I don't have any clue that he couldn't learn the defense. If anything, the kid seems to try too hard.I guess that there's some other attitude issue with Mihm, but I can't see it. He handles the foul calls well, even though some are rookie jobs. I'd rather see him become productive, but in the final analysis, with Blount getting his $5M per year, and another $4M for Mihm, you end up with two mediocre centers at pretty large money. Add the horrendous Yogi of Jellystone contract and it probably aggravates the owners and Ainge. I just want to make sure that we stand pat with Mihm or get something for him and Yogi before all is said and done.Antoine, maybe? :) I don't think he'll ever talk to Ainge again. Civilly.
