RESULTS: Ciaran Gallagher Makes History at Celtic Pro 9
Celtic Pro Wrestling presented Celtic Pro 9 this past Sunday night, July 2nd, at the Good Counsel GAA Club in Dublin, Ireland.
In the double main event, The Amazing Insano successfully defended the Celtic Pro Heavyweight Championship against David Dunn. Also the courageous stroke victim Ciaran Gallagher, who has spent the last six years physically rehabilitating and the last year working towards a seemingly impossible wrestling debut, has now become the newest member of the Celtic Pro locker room. Gallagher acquired a pro wrestling contract after a thrilling blow-out with arch nemesis and trainer “Celtic Tiger” Blake Norton.
Quick results are as follows:
1. Danny Demento def. Neo Dragon
2. The J-Team def. Neil Frenzy & Irish Dragon
3. Studly Stevie (w/ Gerry Soul) def. Napalm Hamilton (w/ Max Martello)
Two crowd favorites, Danny Demento and Neo Dragon lit up the arena in the opening match with an encounter even more action packed than their battle last month. After being bested by Neo Dragon in their last meeting, Danny used his weight advantage and came out on top this time around. As before, Gerry Soul came to ringside, and made Danny a final offer to take on his managerial services. Soul promised that Neo Dragon would pay for turning his offer down the month before, and this was Danny’s final chance to “join the winning team.” Danny politely declined, and left ringside with Max Martello, leaving Soul fuming.
The J-Team def. Neil Frenzy & Irish Dragon
Before the match began, J-Team leader Adam Joyce re-iterated that he plans to break Neil Frenzy’s collarbone as revenge for Frenzy accidentally doing so to him back in March, putting him on the shelf for three months. From the outset, it looked like he may have his way; as Frenzy’s partner Irish Dragon entered the arena, “Dirty” David Dunn” immediately attacked him, leaving him lying in the entrance way. The match immediately became a two-on-one handicap for Frenzy.
Frenzy did an incredible job using his speed to outmaneuver his two foes early on, but the numbers caught up to him, as Adam Joyce illegally struck him from the apron. The J-Team took Frenzy apart for several minutes, but Frenzy refused to surrender. He finally spiked Darragh from the top, leaving both men flat on their backs, at which point Neo Dragon burst out of the locker room. Despite having already competed, he came to Frenzy’s aid. The numbers even, Frenzy and Neo Dragon fought back against The J-Team and came agonizingly close to defeating them before a miscommunication led to Adam Joyce securing the submission victory over Frenzy.
Even in defeat, Frenzy showed incredible courage, and Neo Dragon great strength of character to come to his aid after having already wrestled. It remains to be seen if Neil Frenzy, with the numbers against him, can ever topple the seemingly invincible J-Team.
Studley Stevie (w/ D4) def. Napalm Hamilton (w/ Max Martello)
Gerry Soul had promised to present the first member of his “D4” faction tonight. Soul expressed anger that commissioner Ross Hart passed him up in favor of the less experienced Brian Griffin as head referee back at the very first Celtic Pro show, and promised to “expose Hart’s bias” by bringing in wrestlers that Ross allegedly overlooked for opportunities because of politics.
As had been widely speculated on, former head of security Darren Holmes entered the arena, presumably to face Napalm Hamilton. However, moments later, “Studley” Stevie, who had apparently entered the arena from the opposite entrance undetected, jumped Napalm from behind. Napalm fought back and taught young Stevie a lesson or four, but when he had him set up for the “Black Hawk Down” finishing move, ring announcer Andrew Dixon jumped on the apron. As Gerry Soul distracted the referee, Dixon smashed the microphone in Napalm’s face, allowing “Studley” Stevie to roll him up for the victory. Napalm’s Cosa Nostra brethren Max “The Hammer” Martello (at ringside) and Danny Demento immediately came to his aid, but found themselves in a four-on-two situation. Andrew Dixon, who was clearly a trained wrestler in disguise, choked out Demento, before the group stole Max Martello’s family ring and knocked him unconscious.
In the heavyweight championship match, The Amazing Insano continued his winning ways with a pinfall victory over “Dirty” David Dunn in a thrilling battle of extremely rounded technical competitors. Dunn’s manager Adam Joyce interfered liberally, leading to him being ejected mid-way through the match.
“It’s a bloody good thing the referee was on his game tonight,” commented an exasperated Insano after the match. “Usually he’s not so astute, and how everyone expects me to keep defending this title against top competition when it winds up in a two-on-one so often is beyond me. Ross Hart needs to get his act together.”
Unsanctioned Streetfight for a Wrestler’s Contract:
Blake Norton def. Ciaran Gallagher
Ciaran Gallagher and Blake Norton battled to a 20-minute no-holds-barred blowout in the final bout of the evening. After Gallagher refused to die and turned back everything Norton had to offer, his obsessed trainer knocked him unconscious with the ring bell. The action, while legal by the rules of the match, seemed to shock everyone – including Norton himself, who became visibly upset in the moments following. Referee Brian Griffin called an end to the match shortly thereafter.
Leading up to the match, Norton swore to use the blank wrestler’s contract to bring his “Emerald Fusion” faction back to Celtic Pro, in order to help him win the heavyweight championship. However, as the Celtic Locker room assisted Gallagher in returning to his feet, Norton returned to ringside, contract in hand. “I’m twice the wrestler you will ever be” he asserted to his bloodied student Gallagher, his eyes welling up with tears, “but maybe someday I can be half the man you are. I think this belongs to you.” Norton handed Gallagher the contract, and limped to the back in obvious pain from the fight. The fans in attendance gave Gallagher a standing ovation, as his fellow wrestlers lifted him on their shoulders.
Celtic Pro Wrestling returns to Dublin in August for Celtic Pro 10. What is the status of Max Martello after the brutal attack laid upon him by D4? Can Amazing Insano continue his incredible win streak against all odds? Can Neil Frenzy find a way to end Adam Joyce’s vindictive attempts to destroy him? Find out at Celtic Pro 10, coming soon to Dublin city, Ireland!

The Legend of the Irish Dragon continues on May 20th
Celtic Pro Wrestling is proud to announce the card for its return to Dublin city on Saturday May 20th at 7pm at the Good Counsel GAA Club, Dublin 12. The Amazing Insano will defend his Celtic Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Title, Neil Frenzy will make his Dublin debut, and a pioneer of Irish professional wrestling, Irish Dragon, will make his long-awaited return to the ring!
Irish Dragon, who exploded onto the scene with Irish Whip Wrestling in 2004, is one of the original cruiserweights of Irish professional wrestling. He broke out of the pack early on with his incredible athleticism, wowing fans as he clashed with international stars from England ranging from Johnny Storm to Jody Fleisch, and even American stars such as MDogg-20.
This coming May 20th, At Celtic Pro 8: Enter the Dragon, Irish Dragon returns to the ring.
This coming May 20th, two of the legendary figures of Irish professional wrestling clash for the first time ever, as Irish Dragon returns to the ring to face Number 1 Contender to the 3CW Heavyweight Championship, The Hart Dungeon’s “Celtic Tiger” Blake Norton.
Then, in the other half of Celtic Pro 8’s double-main event, The Amazing Insano makes his first defense of the Celtic Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Championship.
Last month, he bested three men in one night to capture the Celtic Pro Championship; but that victory came at a price. With injured ribs, he was dominated by 4-time 3CW champion Dragon Aisu, only to pull off an incredible upset three-count.
Can The Amazing Insano survive another onslaught from his bigger, more experienced opponent? And will Adam Joyce’s J-Team again make their presence felt to ensure Dragon Aisu’s victory? We’ll find out on May 20th!
All the action goes down at 7pm on May 20th at the Good Counsel GAA Hall opposite the Suir Road Luas Station. Be there live for Celtic Pro Wrestling 8: Enter The Dragon!

RESULTS: Amazing Insano crowned first-ever Celtic Pro Champion
On Saturday night, April 8th, Celtic Pro Wrestling crowned its first ever heavyweight champion in an eight-man, single-elimination tournament featuring the best and brightest that the young promotion has to offer. One of Europe’s most promising stars, 4-time 3CW Champion Dragon Aisu made his Irish debut, while a fellow “Dragon” - Neo Dragon - was very impressive in his first pro match.
The results are as follows:
Quarter Finals
Amazing Insano def. Neo Dragon
Napalm Hamilton def. “The Celtic Tiger” Blake Norton
Darragh Galligan (w/ Adam Joyce) def. Danny Demento
Dragon Aisu def. “Dirty” David Dunn (w/ Adam Joyce)
Semi-Finals
Dragon Aisu def. Napalm Hamilton
Amazing Insano def. Darragh Galligan
Finals
Amazing Insano def. Dragon Aisu (w/ Adam Joyce)
The entire Celtic Pro locker room was involved in the tournament final. Dragon Aisu’s new manager Adam Joyce attempted to ensure his man’s victory by orchestrating an attack on The Amazing Insano after his semi-final victory. Joyce’s plan backfired, however, as his stable’s actions polarized the locker room, leading to a company-wide brawl at the conclusion of the evening, ensuring that Insano had his fair opportunity. He took advantage, and walked away with the championship after countering Dragon’s top-rope suplex into a sunset powerbomb for the three.
Also at the show, Max “The Hammer” Martello officially inducted Danny Demento into the Cosa Nostra stable, and the rivalry between Blake Norton and official Ciaran Gallagher reached a boiling point when Gallagher, who commissioner Ross Hart had appointed to be the outside official for all Norton’s matches, saw to it that Norton was not able to achieve a victory by his usual nefarious means. Gallagher is a fully trained wrestler who has not been cleared to complete due to having a severe physical disability stemming from a stroke he suffered as a teenager. Ross Hart had denied Gallagher’s previous submissions to become a part of Celtic Pro’s active roster, but with the animosity between Gallagher and Norton turning to physical violence at Celtic Pro 7, Hart is finding himself in an increasingly difficult position in regards to how to resolve this situation.
Celtic Pro will return to action in Dublin next month, featuring Napalm Hamilton versus David Dunn, Amazing Insano’s first defense of the new Celtic Pro Wrestling heavyweight championship, and much more.

From CelticProWrestling.com:
Full Brackets Announced for April 8 Tournament! Celtic Pro Wrestling commissioner Ross Hart today released the bracketing for the first tournament in Celtic Pro Wrestling History.
On April 8th, eight men will compete, and only one man will walk away the first ever Celtic Pro Heavyweight Champion!
The bracketing will be set by placing #1 against #5, #2 against #6 and so forth. The matches will be listed in this order. There are many exciting possibilities for the final round of the tournament. Will The Celtic Tiger and The Amazing Insano advance to continue their rivalry, this time in a rubber match for the Celtic Pro championship? Will we see the battle of the Dragons between newcomer Neo Dragon and English wrestling star Dragon Aisu? After months of tag-team warfare, could Cosa Nostra's Napalm Hamilton lock it up with J-Team's Darragh Galligan for the gold?
The full listing of wrestlers in order of seeding is as follows:
Celtic Pro Seeding Analysis By Matt Rashe
"Celtic Tiger" Blake Norton
In a controversial pick, "Celtic Tiger" Blake Norton is listed number one. Norton is hot off a pinfall victory over The Amazing Insano last month in Dublin. He commissioned the creation of a replica 3CW heavyweight championship after a controversial loss to champion Stevie Lynn in January. When Ross Hart and 3CW management ruled that he could not wear the unrecognized belt to the ring for his matches, Norton took the belt to one of his many network television appearances on RTE 2 and paraded the championship in front of the nation. He's hungry, dangerous and desperate, and has sworn that he will be the first Celtic Pro champion.
Dragon Aisu
Rocketing into #2 is Dragon Aisu. The four-time former 3CW Heavyweight Champion is a major favorite. His battles with Raven and Doug Williams are legendary across Europe, and this will mark his very first appearance in Ireland.
The Amazing Insano
The Amazing Insano takes the number three slot. Since his debut at Celtic Pro 1 last September, he has been perhaps the most consistent star in Celtic Pro. In the last eight months, he's picked up pinfall victories over Blake Norton and Kid Richie, and in December won the first ever Celtic Rumble to earn a shot at Stevie Lynn for the 3CW Championship. Despite losing that match, he has only appeared more motivated in subsequent bouts. Insano is full of surprises, and few would be amazed to see this dynamic young student of the game succeed in his bid to become first ever Celtic Pro champion.
Danny Demento
Back to back wins on March 4th & 5th over Alex Breslin and Darragh Galligan catapulted Danny Demento up the tournament seeding. While not the most experienced grappler in the tournament, his youth, determination and appetite to learn new techniques make him extremely tough to beat.
Napalm Hamilton
Napalm Hamilton comes into this tournament with both guns blazing! He's been undefeated since the start of the year, picking up wins in both tag action with his mentor Max "The Hammer" Martello and earning pinfall victories over the caliber of Blake Norton and "All Star" Anthony Idol. His number five seeding in this tournament is attributed to the high volume of tag matches he's competed in this year, but in anyone's book, Celtic Pro's most popular star Hamilton is a major favorite to win.
"Dirty" David Dunn
David Dunn has been quickly rising up the ranks of Celtic Pro. In January he overcame a tremendous size disadvantage to pin Joey Cabray. In March he went toe-to-toe with Europe's top cruiserweight, Kid Richie, and came stunningly close to scoring the upset win. With manager Adam Joyce at his side, Dunn's chances in the tournament cannot be overestimated.
Neo Dragon
Neo Dragon strikes at number seven. His seeding is really immaterial, as this is his debut match and he has yet to be seen. Reports out of the Celtic Dungeon are that he is a phenomenal talent. Fans have already begun buzzing over the idea of seeing Neo Dragon and Dragon Aisu meet in the tournament, in a battle of the masked Dragons.
Darragh Galligan
Darragh Galligan is the dark horse of the tournament. While frequent differences with manager Adam Joyce have led to an inconsistent win-loss record, few would argue the fact that he is technically one of the very best in Irish wrestling. The Galligan and Joyce finally got on the same page in Dundalk on March 5th, where together they ended the Celtic Pro careers of Joey Cabray and Alex Breslin with a brutally calculated attack. If they can bring that kind of teamwork to the table on April 8th, "The Master Of Disaster" Darragh Galligan will walk out of the show the first ever Celtic Pro Wrestling heavyweight Champion.
The action all goes down live on April 8th in Dublin. Visit Upcoming Events for more information!

He may have conquered The Amazing Insano last week in Dublin, and Darkside the week before in England, but can The Celtic Tiger take on the challenge of Sattitude’s top contender? Find out this Saturday at 10am on RTE 2!
First Ever Champion to be crowned at Celtic Pro 7 on April 8th in Dublin!
Celtic Pro Wrestling commissioner Ross Hart has announced that the company will crown its first-ever heavyweight champion at Celtic Pro 7 on April 8th.
The event will take place at Celtic Pro's home base of Drimnagh, at the Good Counsel GAA hall. The tournament will be held in single-elimination format. Seven matches between eight of Ireland’s top professional wrestlers will decide the winner, and inaugural Celtic Pro Heavyweight Champion.
The full listing of stars for the tournament will be announced in coming days on CelticProWrestling.com - visit the website for more information about the show.
Cabray, Breslin Uncertain For Tournament
At press time, the status of Joey Cabray and Alex Breslin for Celtic Pro 7 on April 8th is in doubt. An incident took place on March 5th in Dundalk, where Adam Joyce attacked Breslin upon losing his match to Neil Frenzy. Breslin, who had been recovering from a shoulder injury, was serving as the guest ring announcer for the evening. Joyce blindsided her with a wrench to her injured shoulder, and when Joey Cabray rushed to the ring to defend his friend, Joyce’s charge Darragh Galligan blindsided Cabray. It was a clear set-up.
Joey Cabray and Adam Joyce have been at odds ever since Joyce took advantage of circumstances to eliminate Cabray from the Celtic Rumble in November. The cocky Joyce began proclaiming himself “giant killer” shortly thereafter. While few pundits would give Joyce a chance against the powerhouse Cabray in a one-on-one match, Joyce has managed to use his J-Team members Darragh Galligan and David Dunn as a shield to keep Cabray at a distance thus far, while continuing to promote his apparent ring superiority at Cabray's expense.
On the night in question, both Cabray and Breslin were left hurt in the ring and needed assistance to the back. We will have an update on their conditions on CelticProWrestling.com in the upcoming weeks, and are expecting an imminent statement from Ross Hart regarding the actions of Adam Joyce and his “J-Team.”

Adam Joyce Injured
Adam Joyce broke his collarbone competing against a debuting Forbes Kelly on Sunday’s Celtic Pro Wrestling show in Dundalk. The injury occurred when Kelly hit him with his tornado facebuster for the win. Joyce will be out 4 – 6 weeks, and doctors are considering surgery options. He had no official comment at press time, but was thought to be planning a measure of revenge with Darragh Galligan and David Dunn, who Joyce will continue to manage as he recovers.

Joey Cabray & Alex Breslin Heading to Northern Ireland, Germany
Two of Celtic Pro’s most popular stars, Joey Cabray and Alex Breslin venture to Northern Ireland Saturday week to compete for UCW. Their opponents? Each other!

Joey Cabray debuted in 2004 and has quickly risen to the top while Alex has proven to be one of the top female wrestlers in the world, holding the ACWA Woman’s Championship and the woman’s championship at Dory Funk’s conservatory in Florida.
“Alex isn’t a tough girl, she’s a tough wrestler,” said Joe, a power lifter who enjoys a tremendous size and power advantage. “I’m going to swing her around and batter her, and it’s no easy task! I’m going to be watching out for her arm bar submissions, they’re no joke!”

Nov 12: Insano wins Rumble! Martello Returns! Lynn Debuts!
Saturday night, November 12th, Celtic Pro Wrestling returned to Dublin with a vengeance! 3CW Heavyweight Champion Stevie Lynn made his Irish debut with a pinfall victory over an extremely impressive Joey Cabray. Max "The Hammer" Martello returned from injury as Cosa Nostra found revenge against The Emerald Fusion. In the main event, The Amazing Insano won the Celtic Rumble, securing himself the position as Ireland's number-one contender to the 3CW Heavyweight Title!
QUICK RESULTS:
3cw Champion Stevie Lynn def. Joey Cabray
The Amazing Insano def. Dirty David Dunn
The Emerald Fusion def. Cosa Nostra
Darragh Galligan def. Alex Breslin
5.Amazing Insano won the Celtic Rumble
December 17th, Celtic Pro Wrestling returns to Dublin, headlined by Stevie Lynn versus The Amazing Insano for the 3CW Heavyweight Championship.
Joey Cabray brought his international experience to the table in facing off with one of Europe's premiere talents in 3CW World Champion Stevie Lynn. Lynn defeated Cabray, in an incredibly competitive match, with his trademark Brainbuster manoever.
The Amazing Insano def. Dirty David Dunn
Dunn was none too happy about being called up from his training at The Celtic Dungeon for his debut match on such short notice, and was vocal about his resentment at not having time to prepare for such a high-profile match. Insano's original opponent was Chris Whitton, but word came out just hours before the show that he would be unable to compete due to a suspected concussion.
On this night, The Amazing Insano was able to position his opponent to score his finishing move for the first time. He connected with Eddy Guerrero's frogsplash to secure the victory, just hours before Eddy sadly passed away on the other side of the world.
It is often said that it's not how one considers a man in death that counts, but in life. In life, Eddy Guerrero was a hero to fans and aspired superstars all over the world, and The Amazing Insano could have picked none better to pattern his finishing manoever after.
The Emerald Fusion ("The Celtic Tiger" Blake Norton & "All Star" Anthony Idol w/ James Coleman) def. Cosa Nostra("Mean" Mark Burns & Napalm Hamilton)
"Mean" Mark Burns and Napalm Hamilton clearly had payback on their mind. Max Martello was notably absent from ringside, as their manager was still suffering the effects of a cowardly attack the month prior when "All Star" Anthony Idol struck him in the base of the skull with his 3CW Young Lions championship belt.
Burns and Hamilton dominated Idol and "The Celtic Tiger" Blake Norton early, to the point where they had to chase them down and prevent them from fleeing the building in terror. Emerald Fusion enforcer James Coleman proved why he's an integral part of the group when he caught Napalm off guard from the outside. The distraction allowed Idol to dropkick him in the knee to give The Emerald Fusion control of the match.
Napalm struggled until finally making the tag to Burns, who promptly destroyed The Fusion with pure power. A double-chokeslam on Norton would surely have finished the match if Idol hadn't broken it up. Burns knocked him to the outside to teach him a lesson, but as referee Brian Cahill struggled to regain control of the match, he missed James Coleman striking Napalm with a crutch that he had with him supposedly due to injury. Norton rolled a winded Napalm up with his feet on the ropes, and The Fusion scurried from ringside, once again stealing a win over the irate Cosa Nostra.
Darragh Galligan def. Alex Breslin
"The Master Of Disaster" Darragh Galligan turned the tables on Alex in their rematch from October with the help of his new manager, Adam Joyce. Joyce interfered liberally in the match, and distracted Alex leading to Darragh scoring with the Darragh Driver for the pinfall victory. The victorious duo tried to take liberties with Alex after the match, but Joey Cabray saved his friend from a beating and sent Galligan and Joyce packing. Darragh was none to happy to have Cabray involve himself in his business.
Amazing Insano won the Celtic Rumble
It was every star for themself as Celtic Pro Wrestling crowned a new Irish number one contender to Stevie Lynn's 3CW Heavyweight Championship. The two biggest athletes in Celtic Pro, Mark Burns and Joey Cabray, got into a scuffle mid-match. There was bad blood between them stemming from an incident in September when they both answered an open challenge. Joey paid no respect to Burns on that occasion, who responded by levelling him with a forearm. On this night, they fought to the apron. With both men in jeopardy, Adam Joyce snuck up behind Burns and easily eliminated a man over twice his size. He tried to also eliminate Joey, who was barely hanging on at the apron, but only accomplished his feat with the illegal help of Darragh Galligan. Darragh and Joey exchanged heated words before Joey chased him back to the locker room.
The match boiled down to The Celtic Tiger, The Amazing Insano and Anthony Idol. Right when Stablemates Tiger and Idol had knocked Insano out and were about to eliminate him, Cosa Nostra returned to ringside, Max Martello making his retun with them. The arena errupted as Max disposed of James Coleman with his trusty cane. Napalm and Burns then entered the ring and destroyed The Emerald Fusion before setting them up for Martello's trademark moves; the spear and jackhammer, patterned after former WCW Champion Bill Goldberg.
As Cosa Nostra left ringside, Idol, Norton and Insano were all struggling to stand. Insano was the first up and tossed Idol, but James Coleman had enough left to catch him and prevent the elimination. 3CW Champion Stevie Lynn, who was observing the match at ringside, was none to happy with his tampering, and forced James Coleman to sit out the rest of the match.
Norton attacked Insano from behind, but a double-team attempt backfired and Idol was sent to the floor - for real this time. Insano and Norton then fought to the finish, which saw Norton sent flying to the floor with a springboard dropkick. 3CW Champion Stevie Lynn entered the ring and congratulated the new number one contender to his heavyweight championship, as Norton looked on in anguish from the floor, screaming "That's my title!"
December 17th, Celtic Pro Wrestling returns to Dublin, headlined by Stevie Lynn versus The Amazing Insano for the 3CW Heavyweight Championship.

Martello Released From Hospital; Prognosis is Good Max Martello was injured at Celtic Pro Wrestling’s October 15th show when Anthony Idol struck him in the back of the head with the Young Lions championship belt. The blow knocked him out for several minutes and he had to be assisted to the back.
After initially refusing to be taken to hospital, Max Martello finally agreed to be taken to the emergency room at St. James's Hospital, Dublin, around 11:20pm. He was taken by his sister Tiz, who had attended the show that night, her friend Lisa, and wrestler Adam "Napalm" Hamilton. Max was examined shortly before 1am and cleared to go home a half an hour later.
We have just learned that doctors found no additional damage to Martello's neck. Max had ruptured a disc in his neck wrestling during the latter half of last year, which had kept him out of action since joining Celtic Pro. There was an initial fear that the blow to the back of his head could have re re-aggravated the injury. Doctors have instructed Max, who described symptoms of nausea associated with a mild concussion, not to fly for the next six weeks.
Max is set to discuss his condition with Celtic Pro commissioner Ross Hart and Senior Advisor Lanny Poffo this week before a decision is made in regards to his future with the company.
All of us at Celtic Pro wish Max a speedy recovery.

PRESS RELEASE: Norton vs. Mayson Grudge Match Signed For June 10th in England
(Quick results from Saturday, May 28th show in brief below main article)
This past Saturday, May 28th, Celtic Pro Wrestling’s “The Celtic Tiger” Blake Norton returned to 3-Count Wrestling in England. In a tag team match pitting Norton and “Sweet” Stevie Aaron against Jayson Mayson and 3CW Young Lyons Champion Chris Whitton, Norton was seeking revenge upon Mayson, whose betrayal in December led to “The Celtic Tiger” being deported from Europe for six months.
Instead of finding revenge, however, Norton instead found his first pinfall defeat in England in over a year.
It wasn’t until the closing moments of a furious twenty-minute match that Norton was finally able to get his hands on Mayson, who had avoided coming face to face with his nemesis from the opening bell. “The Celtic Tiger” took Mayson down and applied his “Stu Lock” finishing hold, but it was broken up courtesy of an enzugiri to the head by Mayson’s partner Chris Whitton. With the referee distracted by the ensuing brawl between Whitton and Sweet Stevie, Mayson shattered his mounted gold record over Norton’s head, securing himself a pinfall victory in the center of the ring.
The irate crowd in attendance rose in unison and chanted “five more minutes.” An incensed Norton struggled to his feet and dove from the ring out on to Mayson on the arena floor. He continued to pound on Mayson until finally being physically restrained by Sweet Stevie, Kid Richie and CPW officials.
What was designed to be an opportunity for revenge for “The Celtic Tiger” instead became a new chapter in the most heated rivalry in English wrestling. It is now official that Norton and Mayson will finally meet one-on-one on Friday June 10th in Billingham, England, in the grudge match to end all grudge matches. Visit 3-Count Wrestling’s official website at www.3cw.co.uk for more information.

PRESS RELEASE: Celtic Tiger Returns to 3CW, England, This Saturday Night
This coming Saturday, May 28th in Middlesborough, England, "The Celtic Tiger" Blake Norton returns to action for 3-Count Wrestling (www.3cw.co.uk).
The trip will serve two functions; the first is to further develop the talent agreement signed six weeks ago between 3CW and the Celtic Pro Wrestling (www.CelticProWrestling.com) promotion in Ireland.
"It's a very exciting opportunity for everyone on the two rosters," explains Paul Gernon, Head of Media for Celtic Pro. "The style in Celtic Pro is what I'd consider 'Dungeon Style.' It emphasizes strong fundamentals and hard-hitting execution. Former world champion Chris Benoit is truly the epitome of that style.
"Meanwhile, 3CW's top wrestlers are the next generation of British superstars. They have mastered a great depth of holds and counters dating back a hundred years into British wrestling history. Most fans outside England only saw these for the first time in the last few years through Nigel McGuinness and Doug Williams."
The second reason for The Celtic Tiger's return to England is for revenge.
In December, Norton put six months of his career on the line in a bid to raise the stakes in his 3CW debut and propel himself into heavyweight title contention. However, when his tag team partner Jayson Mayson fled the arena mid-match, The Celtic Tiger was fed to the wolves.
Now, six months later, Stevie Aaron has chosen The Celtic Tiger to be his tag team partner against Mayson and his partner, Young Lions champion Chris Whitton
“Jayson Mayson cost me not only my opportunity at the championship, but he stole a half a year from my career” asserts Norton. “He’s operating on borrowed time until I get my hands on him; and when I do, The Celtic Tiger is going to eat him up and spit him out.”

At 4:43pm Wednesday afternoon, Celtic Pro Wrestling signed a contract to secure the new Celtic Dungeon training facility.
The facility is located on the red Luas line at the Blackhorse station in Inchicore. The Luas journey from O’Connell Street to the Celtic Dungeon is just fifteen minutes, and it is also easily accessible by foot and by car (M50). Its proximity to Heuston Station (11 minutes via Luas) ensures that fans from all over Ireland have the chance to come and be a part of the new camp.
“We’re very excited about the facility,” explained CPW owner Blake Norton, who has been in and out of meetings all week working to finalize the deal. “I can’t think of a better location. We’re accessible to fans from all over Dublin. When you’re in the ring there’s a great vibe. It’s everything we were looking for.”
DIVING IN
“We wanted to spend a couple of weeks developing the premesis before opening it” explains CPW Head of Media Paul Gernon, who originally located the building. “But we’re going ahead and opening this Saturday, because there’s such a phenomenal demand from people wanting to get started. The phone is ringing off the hook, and Celtic Pro Wrestling is going to deliver.”
The Celtic Dungeon succeeds in continuing the tradition of profound unconventionality set by the legendary original, with its quirky, intimate layout. The ring is assembled just inside the doorway of the building, with the seating and bathroom facilities at the back. Each and every person who enters the building must cross the threshold of the wrestling ring to do so. In the immortal words of Mick Foley, “now that’s hardcore!”
CELTIC FRAME OF MIND
“The original Dungeon in Calgary – a small basement with four walls, a low roof and a concrete floor – proved that becoming a great wrestler has nothing to do with the facility itself. It has to do with your heart, and the aptitude of your trainers. I didn’t want something too commercial, impersonal and cold. Where we are is just right for the Celtic wrestling family.
“It’s going to take a couple of weeks to adjust the ring so that high-flyers have the head height to do their thing. But the heart of professional wrestling training is on the mat, and it’s incredibly fitting that it’s on the mat that training is going to begin this Saturday. I’d swear Stu himself designed the room to force us to put in the work on our technique before guys start bouncing off the rafters. We’re all very excited.”
Students who have submitted their contact information to Celtic Pro Wrestling will be contacted very soon about this weekend’s training schedule. Students who have not heard from us by 8pm Thursday evening – or simply those wishing to sign up – can contact Celtic Pro Wrestling at training@... or by calling (353) 86 128 0558. There are detailed photographs and instructions on how to get to the Celtic Dungeon available now on www.CelticProWrestling.com in the "Map To CPW" section.

DUBLIN, IRELAND -- Celtic Pro Wrestling, Ireland (www.celticprowrestling.com) has signed a talent agreement with 3-Count Wrestling, England (www.3cw.co.uk). The deal, which encompasses the next twelve months with two optional one-year extensions (subject to agreement by both parties) sets the stage for regular talent exchanges for each promotion's top stars.
3CW has begun 2005 in phenomenal manner. Not only has the promotion featured international stars Raven and Doug Williams in recent months, but more importantly, it has been a fertile breeding ground for cultivating new and untapped talent. Heavyweight Champion Ice XVII, Jayson Mayson and Young Lions Champion Dave Styles are only a few of the names who have broken into the English mainstream during the last twelve months with the company. This talent agreement will present options to these stars and more to regularly take on Celtic Pro Wrestling's top talent, including the likes of international star "Celtic Tiger" Blake Norton and Alex Breslin, who recently won the ACWA Women's World Championship while touring the United States.
"We're very excited about this deal," explained Celtic Pro Wrestling owner Norton. "I had the opportunity to work for 3CW last December. I was so impressed with the professionalism of their product - from the in-ring work to the production values to the merchandising and DVD distribution departments. It's the kind of promotion I want our wrestlers at Celtic Pro Wrestling to be associated with, and I want to ensure that the top talent in Ireland get the opportunity to show their abilities in a foreign market."
Mike Groom, President of 3CW, concurs.
"We at 3 Count Wrestling are thrilled to have Mr. Norton on board, and look forward to working more closely with all those at Celtic Pro Wrestling. We believe Mr. Norton's resume speaks for itself, and look forward to being able to showcase premier Irish talent in the coming months. 3CW's ethos has always centered around a firm belief in the recognition and forwarding of local talent, and we believe this to be an excellent opportunity to work with likeminded people to expose the hard work of everyone here in 3 Count Wrestling to a wider audience, whilst also working to showcase the immense talents of those at the Celtic Dungeon."
Barring any legal challenges or delays, the CPW-3CW international talent agreement will go into effect on Monday, May 23rd.
Norton's Former Student Receives WWE Tryout
Celtic Dungeon trainer Blake Norton is proud to have received news that Dan Lynam - who he trained right up until his debut last year - was given the opportunity to step between the ropes of a WWE ring for the first time in Dublin last week. Dan, who wrestles as "Red Vinny," had the privilege of meeting wrestling legend Ricky Steamboat on the Irish leg of Smackdown's European tour.
"I was so proud watching Dan's first matches," admits Blake. Lynam made his debut challenging powerhouse Joey Carbury in Dublin city in July 2004.
On a public wrestling forum, Dan reflected on his very first day of training with Blake last May.
"I couldn't breathe by the end of it, but it was seriously the most fun I've ever had in my life," wrote Lynam. "The seven hour (session) was well worth it, (I) had a great day and learned soooo much."
"Dan had a tear in his eye the day after his first match," recalls Blake's wife Natina, known inside wrestling circles as columnist and graphic designer Miss Galatea, the creator of the famous "ECW Hardcore Cafe" shirt. "In a room full of boys putting a ring together, Dan said he'd always consider Blake his mentor, and that if he got to Wrestlemania, it would be him he'd thank. It was very touching, because most people in this business forget where they came from."
"It's said that the greats are the ones who most often remember their roots, which is why I make an effort to talk about Calgary so much, to show respect," explains Blake with a smile. "I'm glad that the tradition lives on in some of the talented wrestlers of tomorrow that I've had the pleasure of helping break into this sport, men like Brian Roche, Killer Cosgrave, and Dan Lynam. When I return to Ireland this week to open up the Celtic Dungeon training camp in Dublin (www.CelticProWrestling.com), I'm going to continue to do everything I can to ensure that every student of mine learns the fundamental tools, so they have the opportunity become all that they can be."
PRESS RELEASE: Blake Norton Launches “Celtic Pro Wrestling”
Dublin to play host to exciting new WWF-style wrestling camp
Professional wrestling celebrity Blake Norton is proud to announce the formation of Celtic Pro Wrestling (www.CelticProWrestling.com). The group will be launching its brand-new Dublin city training facility, the “Celtic Dungeon,” in just over one week's time on Saturday, April 30th, at 11am. The facility is located in Cookstown Industrial Estate, which is a listed stop on the Luas tram line (www.luas.ie). Members of the media and wrestling fans are welcome to attend, where they will meet & greet with Blake & the CPW staff, get information about the school and promotion, and sign-up for wrestling classes.
Wrestling enthusiasts from the age of sixteen and up will have the opportunity to follow their dreams and learn the art of WWF-style professional wrestling as seen every week on Sky television. With the potential dangers of untrained kids performing “backyard wrestling,” currently a hot topic in the Irish media, Celtic Pro Wrestling seeks to focus and train aspiring stars properly and safely in a supportive and monitored environment. We are proud to announce that our close friend Ross Hart of the world-famous Hart wrestling family in Canada is on board as CPW Senior Advisor. We will be deferring to his twenty years of experience in promoting and training, ensuring a fusion of old-school values with new-school ideas.
ABOUT THE STAFF
Promoter Blake Norton is one of the world’s leading experts on professional wrestling. His journalistic career includes posts as contributing editor of World Of Wrestling Magazine and writer/presenter of “The Bagpipe Report” television show on The Wrestling Channel (Sky Digital Channel 427). In 1999, he received his formal wrestling training at the legendary “Hart Dungeon” in Canada, which has produced such championship wrestlers as Bret “Hitman” Hart, The British Bulldog, Chris Jericho and “Crippler” Chris Benoit.
Director Paul Gernon has been appointed head of CPW media. Gernon has played a pivotal role in promoting many of the wrestling shows that have taken place in Ireland & England over the last five years. Inside the business, he’s considered an MVP, having been heavily involved in all promotional aspects from booking talent to organizing the locker room. Gernon’s greatest contributions to Irish wrestling are in his specialty field; he is responsible for overseeing video projects with subjects ranging from the legendary Jake “The Snake” Roberts to hardcore wrestling idol The Sandman.
Senior Advisor Ross Hart is a second-generation wrestling kingpin who has traveled the world as did his brothers Bruce, Owen and Bret before him. He is currently a trainer and promoter for Stampede Wrestling (www.StampedeWrestling.com), the promotion started by his legendary father, the late, great Stu Hart.
Also involved in CPW will be Michael McGovern in publicity and Natina Norton in Graphic Design. McGovern has been heavily involved in the Irish wrestling scene in recent years, managing the website “The Dirt Sheet” and producing a weekly radio guide to the wrestling scene in Ireland. Norton's design experience stretches back all the way to 1996 where she designed the famous “ECW Hardcore Café” shirt that arguably defined a wrestling generation. She has also aided in the look and presentation of professional wrestlers ranging from The Apocalypse to “Super Chico” Bryan Alvarez, and her latest artistic contributions can be seen in the form of CPW’s online network, www.CelticProWrestling.com.
THE CELTIC TRAINING PHILOSOPHY
What’s most important to us at Celtic Pro Wrestling is that we give each student the most for their money – both in terms of training and opportunity.
Students will pay for training on a class-to-class basis. We realize that many aspiring wrestlers are working hard to make ends meet. For that reason, Celtic students are encouraged to go at their own pace, and attend the number of classes they feel comfortable with. When the time comes, we will assist our talent in booking appearances with major promotions abroad as they embark on their careers.
Registration and insurance coverage is a one-time payment of e45. Students with previous formal training experience with a recognized group will enjoy a reduced rate of e25 for registration and insurance, as part of our “no double-jeopardy” policy. Classes typically take place between Thursday and Sunday every week. Each class is charged at e12, with a reduced rate of e10 for each subsequent class booked on the same weekend. There are no minimum or maximum numbers of classes, and our class size restrictions ensure that every student receives individualized attention and great value for money. Registered students will also have the opportunity to book (a) “private classes” with trainers to work on specific parts of their technique and (b) “supervised ring time” where they can experiment and develop their moves on their own or with fellow students.
Says Blake, “We have a great team and look forward to giving Irish wrestlers a new promotion which embodies the very highest standards – a promotion where the sport is put first, where mutual effort and respect yield opportunities to succeed in professional wrestling. Welcome to Celtic Pro Wrestling!”
