Having problems with message search?
And just like in a Giro there are crashes! Unfortunately I had one on the descent off the plateau. We got caught in a massive storm...complete with torrential rain, lightning and hail. Megan and our Italian guide decided to wait in a little town ( Foza) for a friend to ride up the mountain to get them. It quit raining for I decided to ride the 20 miles back to Bassano. I made it down the mountain but lost it on a turn on the wet road near the hotel. Luckily, I had on my leggings on. Still, I have 2nd degree road rash and a badly sprained wrist.....I hope. Fortunately, no F. Fuerst injuries, but the riding may be over. Will see how I feel tomorrow.

Wilier. I thought I was in Asiago when I sent the last e-mail. I was actually in a smaller town 15 miles short of Asiago! Beautiful riding though. Once you get on top of the Asiago plateau it is all alpine and a series of rollers. Unfortunately it has started to rain and I am lost!
