3^rd Annual Xstream Expedition Adventure Race Set to Return to Moab in October

(Durango, CO – July 10, 2006) Gravity Play Sports will again host the 3^rd Annual Xstream Expedition Race in the magnificent Moab, Utah area in early October.  The 3 day, 250-300+ mile expedition race is the most affordable expedition race in the world at only $395 per person.  This rate is in effect through the early registration deadline of July 15^th.  With 3 full days of new, nonstop adventures including a viaferrata and spectacular ropes section, trekking in the magnificent La Sal Mountain Range with the aspen trees changing colors, and adventurous desert terrain for the mountain biking and kayaking sections, this expedition race is fun, fast and affordable.

The Moab area is an ideal place for a challenging expedition length adventure race given its rugged terrain, multi-sport options, world class mountain biking and natural beauty. Nestled in the beautiful Castleton Valley, Red Cliffs Adventure Lodge will again serve as an ideal start & finish location for the 2006 Xstream Expedition race. The resort’s lush and expansive grounds make it a perfect place for a congregation of adventure racers and support staff.  

With Primal Quest using the Moab area during the heat of the summer, adventure racers looking to experience some of the terrain and challenges featured in this year’s Primal Quest can compete in the Xstream Expedition Race in the fall. Any teams that missed out on gaining an entry into PQ can sign up for the Xstream Expedition Race.  In addition, all 2006 Primal Quest Participants are eligible for a 10% discount into the Xstream Expedition Race.

Additionally, the Xstream Expedition Race will be offering an unsupported option to the race this year.  We hope this option helps teams traveling from further away make participating in the Xstream Expedition a reality.
