Gravity Play Sports will again host the 3rd Annual Xstream Expedition Race in the magnificent Moab, Utah area in early October. The 250-300 mile expedition race is the most affordable expedition race of its caliber at only $395 per person. With 3+ days of new, nonstop adventures including rappels off of natural arches, trekking in the magnificent La Sal Mountain Range, and adventurous desert terrain for the mountain biking and kayaking sections, this mid-length expedition race is extraordinary! With the Aspens in full color and temperatures averaging 75 degrees in early October you will not find a better time to race in Moab! Over $10,000.00 in cash prizes are up for grabs.
The Moab area is an ideal place for a challenging expedition length adventure race given its rugged terrain, multi-sport options, world class mountain biking and natural beauty. Nestled in the beautiful Castleton Valley, Red Cliffs Adventure Lodge again serves as an ideal start & finish location for the 2006 Xstream Expedition race. The resort’s lush and expansive grounds make it a perfect place for a congregation of adventure racers and support staff.
Gravity Play Sports is excited to have Primal Quest and the television exposure that comes with such a large event highlight the adventure racing opportunities that teams racing in the Xstream Expedition have experienced in years past. With Primal Quest coming to the Moab area during the summer, adventure racers looking to experience the magnificent terrain and challenges featured in this year’s Primal Quest can compete in the Xstream Expedition Race in the fall. Any teams that missed out on gaining an entry into PQ can still sign up for the Xstream Expedition Race. Early registration is open until July 15th. Additionally, any team that doesn’t complete Primal Quest will be eligible for a 10% discount in the 2006 Xstream Expedition Race. Call for details.
