DURANGO, CO (Jan. 11, 2006) – Gravity Play Sports Marketing announces Camp Xstream Adventure Racing Camp and a Certification Camp for Primal Quest participants and has opened registration for both events. These camps will give participants the required skills and certifications needed to participate in adventure races and will train participants to establish and achieve new personal goals.

The Camp Xstream AR Camp will be held March 11th & 12th in Moab, Utah and the Primal Quest Certification Camp will be held March 10-12th in Moab, Utah.

The core curriculum of the Adventure Racing Camp will focus on mountain biking, trail running, kayaking, canyoneering and rappelling, navigation, teamwork, nutrition, gear, and training. Instruction will primarily be conducted “in the field,” as students will participate in the core disciplines of adventure racing throughout the retreat.

In addition to the above curriculum, the Certification Camp for Primal Quest will include certification clinics in horseback riding, ascending, mountaineering skills, swimming & first aid.  PQ racers will be able to obtain all of the necessary certifications in one place.  Certification Clinics that will be covered include:  Horseback riding, Paddling, Climbing (ropes & mountaineering), First Aid, Swimming and Navigation. Additionally there will be optional workshops offered on AR training and gear.

The registration fee for the 2-day, one-night Camp Xstream Adventure Racing Camp is $495 and includes lodging, meals, most equipment, instruction, certifications and more.  The registration fee for the 3-day, 2-night Certification Camp for PQ is $995, which includes lodging, meals, most equipment, instruction, certifications and more.  In addition, camp participants will receive a $50 race voucher toward their next AdventureXstream Adventure Race.

Accomplished adventure racers including Danny Suter of Boulder Performance Network and former Olympic Kayak Coach Corey Neilsen are among the instructors at
Camp Xstream.  “With experienced instructors and team leaders, Camp Xstream is a ‘one-stop shop’ for gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to compete in the sport of adventure racing,” said Camp Director Jenny Newcomer.
