Dear T’ai Chi Practitioner,

I would like to invite you and your students to a special event this Memorial Day weekend in San Francisco .  Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo, the first student of Professor Cheng Man-ching and an exceptional practitioner in a long line of great Tai Chi masters, will present a historic lecture on the Tai Chi Ch'uan Classics.  He will not only transmit his insights in English, but will also demonstrate these principles.

The T’ai Chi classics are the foundation and principles of our practice.  It is important to fully understand these ideas in order to reach the highest levels of T’ai Chi Ch’uan.  Since this is a unique event, we urge you to take advantage of this opportunity.

Commentaries, Discussion and Demonstrations:

May 23 and 24, 2009 – 9 am to 4 pm

May 25, 2009 – 9 am to 12 noon

$300

(see two posters, attached)

Please RSVP by April 30th at 415-285-9408 or Martin Inn at iritaichi.org .

Checks should be made out to Ben Lo and mailed to Martin Inn at

143 Ripley, San Francisco 94110

Sincerely,

Martin Inn

Lectures will be held at Inner Research Institute School of T’ai Chi Ch’uan

301  8th Street, Room 260, San Francisco

 Recommended Text for the Lecture:

“The Essence of T’ai Chi Ch’uan”, the Literary Tradition, 2008 Annotated Edition

Translated by Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo, Martin Inn , Robert Amacker and Susan Foe

Originally published in 1979, “The Essence of T’ai Chi Ch’uan” presented the first authoritative English translation of the important body of work known as the T’ai Chi Classics, a collection of writings spanning nearly 1,000 years.  This long-awaited new edition again provides the literary essence of an ancient art form.  New material includes references to the commentary of the late Professor Cheng Man-ch’ing and an index of the Chinese technical terms.  Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo has created additional calligraphy of key phrases from the T’ai Chi Classics especially for this edition.

“The Essence of T’ai Chi Ch’uan” set, and continues to hold, the standard for English language rendition of the literary traditions of T’ai Chi, providing an invaluable source of wisdom for all students and teachers of this fascinating art.

To order contact Martin Inn at iritaichi.org or phone 415-285-9408.
