| Great Fantasy Quotes from the Chiefs by: 2nd Wind (jimmiesturdivant) |

| More than ever, NFL players are acknowledging fantasy football and the great fans that enjoy playing. I want to send some kudos to Ivan Carter at the Kansas City Star for running several great quotes from Chiefs' players regarding fantasy football yesterday. Here they are, in case you missed them. Trent Green: "They either say they drafted me or they want to talk about different players on our team. They want to know what's going on with the offense, like are you throwing to Eddie (Kennison) more this week or Johnnie (Morton)? Is Tony (Gonzalez) in the game plan in the red zone? How much is Priest (Holmes) going to get the ball? I'm like, 'I can't get into that.' Fantasy football is huge." Tony Gonzalez: "Sometimes they'll come up to you and say: 'Hey, I need you to pick it up this week, you haven't been getting into the end zone enough.' It's weird, but I also think it's a good way for the fans to connect to us. I'm hearing it more and more from women. A lot of women. It's amazing. Someone will come up to me and say: 'Hey, I drafted you in fantasy football and I won my league. So I'll say: 'In that case, buy me a drink then if I'm out there making you money.' " Johnnie Morton: "They'll be like: 'Hook me up this year. Like yeah, I wasn't going to do anything, but now that I'm on your fantasy team I will. It's kind of funny -- but people take that stuff seriously." Marc Boerigter: "They'll come up and say, 'I'm expecting you to produce this year. You want to be like: 'Oh, in that case I'll try to score touchdowns then instead of going out of bounds at the one. I'll try to get in the end zone for you. I mean, what are you supposed to say?
