As many of you know Hurricane Charley is about to hit land today, Friday the 13th, 2004. The entire state of Florida is bracing for a category 2 or 3 Hurricane, but the Southwest part of the state will get the initial hit.
It is estimated that many homes will be destroyed during this event, By Saturday morning we will know how much damage was done, and where the storm is headed. This storm is considered to be one of the worst events for this part of the state since 1921. Many warnings of tornados are being broadcast as well.
Please pray for us as we get ready to endure it. I am about 50 miles north of Tampa, FL off of US 41. It appears to be a safe position to be in, but the storm has not yet landed, so, anything can happen. I don't fear for my well-being as much as I do for those that have large families with little children and the elderly. If anyone can assist our state, cities, communities, and neighborhoods, please find a way to contact me or those organizations involved in the cleanup process.
I will have my cell phone with me, no matter what happens to my home. I intend on getting on the internet at home if all is well, but if not, it may be monday before I can email anyone.
Meanwhile, please pray in agreement with me:
Father, in Jesus name, I pray for the protection of the state of Florida and the people in it, that not one life will be taken, and that minimum amount of damage is done to the personal property of Florida's citizens. I pray for support from our governments and others to aid us and restore any losses in the maximum possible way. I pray that this storm brings about an increased dependancy on you for all our needs, spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically. I thank you in advance. Amen.
Continue to pray and add anything else God lays on your heart.
