East Carolina University will be hosting a pre-Nationals tournament
Saturday, April 5, 2008 in beautiful Greenville, North Carolina.  Entry
fees will be $150 for the first team and $125 for the second team.  The
tournament is open to all teams, going to Nationals or not. If you'd

season, and we're hoping to see you in April!

The pools are set up so the "closest" teams in each pool will be working or
playing in the last match of pool
play on each court.   So, the closest non-playoff team in involved in the last
match will ref the semi's.  That
would be Elon, App, and VT.  APP should ref the playoffs whenever possible since
you're home.  IF there is a
tie for second place in the pool, the FIRST place team in that pool will ref the
FIFTEEN POINT playoff game
to decide second.  If teams are tied with the same win/loss record for 1st
and/or 2nd, there head to head
results will determine the placement.  If they are still tied they will have to
play off.

- Each match is TWO games to 25 starting at 5-5.

Get excited the west region league tournament is this coming sunday at
Appalachian State University!!

Details:
When: Sunday, November 11th
Where: Student Recreation Center at Appalachian St. (if you need directions
please email me and I will send
them your way! Its very easy to find!)
Time: Captains meeting 8:00AM pool play will start at 8:30AM

Gym:
We will be playing in our new Student Rec. Center we have 3 courts upstairs on
the 3rd floor with sportcourt
floors!!  PLEASE bring your OWN whistles for refereeing we do not want to spread
germs!! NO FOOD is
allowed in the gym upstairs, but we will have a room on the 2nd floor with
tables and chairs where you will be
allowed to put your food and coolers and eat down there. Also, there are NO
CHAIRS on the courts the Rec.
Staff will probably not allow you to even bring them in with you. I know this is
a burden for some especially
spectators, I apologize but there is nothing that we can do, we just have to
follow the rules! Sorry.

Hello ladies and coaches.  This is a two part email.

  First, we are hosting a tournament at Furman
University on Nov 17th that is getting a great
response, considering we are scheduling a tournament
over the top of another tournament that is already
full.  We still have a tiny bit of room though, so
please email me back if you have any interest in
joining us for a great day of volleyball!!

Second, I¡¦d like to announce the second annual
¡§Paladin Slam¡¨ tournament which will be held again
on the first weekend of Feb¡K¡K¡K¡K..on Feb 2nd.  More
information will follow(especially once the listserv
is back up) but it is pretty much the standard typical
tournament information type stuff¡K..except we¡¦d
really like to schedule a party/night out Sat night to
back up UK which came to SC last year to win the
tournament and win the party!! ļ

Email me back asap as both tournaments are limited due
to gym space and I¡¦d hate to have to say the words
¡§We¡¦re full, I¡¦m sorry¡¨  to the best tournament in
the southeast this year!

Get excited for the league tournament!  The Eastern Regional League
Tournament at NC State is just a week away!  Please read ALL of this
email; it contains important information you don't want to miss!!

League Tournament in brief:
WHEN: Saturday, November 10th
WHERE:  Carmichael Gymnasium on NC State's campus
TIME: Captain's meeting 8:00 AM; pool play begins 8:30 AM sharp****

****Due to other scheduled events, Carmichael Gym is only reserved
from 8am-5pm for the league tournament.  Thus, to ensure that all
play can be completed in time, it is essential that all teams arrive
at 8:00 AM, so that the captains meeting can begin, and teams can
warm-up.  Allow yourself enough time to find Carmichael and find
parking.

DIRECTIONS TO CARMICHAEL GYM:
(These directions are from NC State's Club Volleyball President,
Michelle Vidrine, who can be reached at  828-450-0643 or
jmvidrin@... if you have any questions)
Take Interstate 40, get off on exit 289 (wade ave), take that exit
till you see Faircloth street on your right (Tripps restaurant will
be on the left before you take the right on faircloth), take that
road to the first light, take a left at the light (hillsborough
street), follow that road take a right on Dan Allen (it is a red
sign) follow that and take a left on Cates (a red sign again),
follow that out and Carmichael will be on your right

PARKING
Parking is free on weekends. Park anywhere except for signs that say
24 hour towing or reserved 24/7.

DIRECTIONS TO GET FOOD FROM CARMICHAEL DURING LUNCH:
Subway: Take Cates Avenue towards Dan Allen Drive, Take a right on
Dan Allen Drive, follow till Hillsborough Street, take a left and
Subway will be on your right.
Any other fast food: Take Cates Avenue towards Dan Allen Drive, Take
a left on Dan Allen Drive, follow till Western Blvd. Take a right on
Western, follow through 3 or 4 lights and you will begin to see fast
food everywhere.

GYM/COURTS:
There will be 3 courts, labelled 9-11, at Carmichael Gymnasium for
the league tournament. Look out for the signs.  Two of them will be
for pool play, and one court will be for warm-up. Please bring your
own WHISTLES for refereeing.  Also, NO FOOD is allowed in the gym;
the courts are near the entrance, so please eat outside.

TEAMS:
There will be 10 separate teams in this tournament, 2 different
pools of 5 teams each.  Teams in attendance include:

Hey ladies. I just wanted to inform all of you that our tournament has
been confirmed for Sunday, November 11th. We plan to have tshirts made
to represent the western regional conference. These shirts will be on
sale for no more that $12. We're still looking in to how much they
will end up costing exactly; but these will be for sale for all
players and family members. If you would, please send me an email back
and let me know if you would be interested in getting one of these
shirts, and how many that your team would be interested in. We want to
make sure we get enough for everyone who wants one.

the University of Maryland Womens Club Volleyball team is hosting tournaments on
10/27/2007, 11/03/2007, and 12/01/2007. Our fee is $100 for first team and $75
