Hey all,

It is that time again....I was getting asked a lot at Nationals, so I
guess it is time for me to make the announcement.

The process for appointment to CLUB USA will start now.

For those that do not know, CLUB USA is that "all-star" team of
college club players that go down to the Virgin Islands and play in a
volleyball tournament over Labor Day Weekend (Aug/Sept). As much of
it
is a volleyball tournament, it is also a huge social event (you don't
travel that far and not have fun!)

We try to build teams of some of the outstanding players around the
nation. Past players come from all sort of schools. For example:
Texas , Michigan , Marquette , Illinois , Chico , Kentucky , Ohio
State ,
Texas A&M, Elon, Appalachian State, Grand Valley , Colorado State,
USC,
UC-Davis , Washington U-St.Louis , Missouri , Kansas , Penn State ,
etc.etc.etc.

Thru the years, we have had regional teams (West, Midwest , etc) when
possible. They seem to get more and more creative thru the years.
Every year the teams get better and better and better. The level of
players that we bring down there have gotten amazing thru the years
(although I regret to say that last year was the 1st year a Club USA
team did not win the tournament--oops!)

I believe this will be the 5th year of this event, and along with the
skill level, the social part of it has gotten more fun.

Teams will be coached by women's club coaches (if you are a coach
interested in coaching, please contact me).

One must arrive there the Friday before Labor Day (Aug 31st) and can
leave on Labor day (Monday 9/3).

I am working on building a page on the website for it, and showing
all
the amazing photos down there and more information. It is amazing on
how many former players email me wanting to return another year ("yes
you can!").

If you are interested in this, please contact me and I will give you
more information and answer your questions.

If you are also getting this, please forward this on to players on
your teams that might be interested. You must have been a player who
played club volleyball this past season to be eligible.

There should be more info up on the website within the next week, but
