The best place is the south part of the lake, at Danbury Candlewood Park, on Hayestown road you get there by taking exit 6 on rt 84 coming south or exit 5 going north. Use Google Maps, it's a pretty shallow part of the lake, so the ICE may be thick enough, it also has a beach are for setting up, the lake has been lowered quite a bit for the winter.

Subject: [CTKitesurfing] Snow/Ice Kiting on Candlewood Lake?
Guys,
So this weekend looks to be pretty windy and cold. I'm itching to give
the snow/ice kiting a try and am thinking about giving it a crack over
on Candlewood lake. Does anyone know of a good spot to access the
lake? I don't think that they will have much snow if any, but I figure
it could be a good time even on the ice.
Of course plan B is to throw on the drysuit and hit up the sound! (and
not feel my hands)
Thanks,
Bobby
