Rob, I can offer a 54 fixed gear, if all he wants to do is cruise around. It does have a front brake on it, but he would not be able to back pedal or coast.

Hey all-
We have friends coming from out of town and one rides casually, but can't bring his bike. He's between me and Michelle, height wise, so none of our bikes will work for him. Looking for a mountain bike to cruise around on a bit. Probably in the neighborhood of a 18 inch frame, or roughly a 56 in a not-very-aggressive roadie bike.
Let me know if you're willing and able, and thanks!

I just looked at the team standings for CX that Raton from BOT has compiled. A 9th place standing in the team results is an outstanding job for our small contingent of dedicated cross dressers! Keep up the good work guys and get those colors out there!!
I just wanted to send out a quick note on the State CX Race - please pass on to anyone who might be interested.
First off the race is on Saturday not Sunday. The Route 66 Marathon is on Sunday and basically will close access to the course. Sorry for the Sunday race.
Also, please note the schedule change. The Cat 1/2/3 race starts at noon, followed by Cat 4 at 1:30 and all Masters categories racing at 2:30.
The event flyer is posted at www.braok.org under events and flyers.
State Champion jerseys will be awarded in the categories listed at the bottom of the flyer.
Thanks!

Hey, Steve, long time since we've heard from you. Are you still
riding? Any chance you'll make the Sat/Sun rides?

Brian - below is from an email I sent to Rob a while back. I didn't here
form Rob and I don't know if Sean got it. Since I am retired this
obviously don't apply to me... I was just trying to help clarify
questions in my own mind.
Steve
I took a look at the program. Looks interesting. I had a few
questions/recommendations:
For reimbursement for entry fees/discount (e.g., level 4) - do 5 races
need to be done first?
Level 4 has a *minimum* of 5 Cat 5 or higher races so if someone does 5
races per year in either Cats 5 or 4 it seems that there is no
difference between level 4 and level 3 benefits.
Level 2 benefits are better. For level 2 is that a minimum of 18 races
the prior year before benefits? Same question for level 1.
How is a CRRC event defined?
How are years counted? For instance in level 3, do 11 races one year and
6 the next still allow for level 3?
I suppose the discount is 10%?
For mentoring, how is a "ride" mentor defined? How many rides? I notice
that there aren't any organized rides that I can see... Seems that the
BLN rides are the only ones people want to do. And the main page has an
old old post by Rob Green.
Newsletter and web site content has always been an issue. Is someone
designated in charge of these? Perhaps this could be a new position. At
least someone could manage the web site and post articles for those who
write them but don't know how to upload them.

CRRC MEETING - 11/9/09
Sean officially took over the helm at tonight's meeting. Although this is a
quiet time for racing (at least road racing), there's still plenty going on
within the club.
SPONSORSHIPS: This is the most important and the most pressing. We need to
finalize all our sponsors for the coming year so that we know what our budget
is. Also, we need them finalized so that we can finalize the artwork for our
team kits. If you have any leads on sponsorships, please get with Sean ASAP.
CLOTHING: We're going to use Champ-Sys again this year. They have a good
selection (including multi-sport offerings), their stuff fits well and looks
nice, they have low minimums per piece, and one of the shortest turnaround times
of any company. As stated above, we do need to finalize the sponsors before we
can make the artwork.
INCENTIVE PROGRAM: Sean is looking at clarifying some of the points on the
draft incentive program that Rob introduced before putting it into practice.
There hasn't been a lot of feedback on this; if you want to have input on it, go
to the Files section on our Yahoo group and read the specifics for yourself.
CROSS: The cyclocross season is in full bloom and some of our guys are doing
pretty well. If you haven't already done so, go watch or race. Or better yet,
grab a bike and give it a try. Guaranteed you'll be hyper-fit and ready to
start road season.
WINTER TRAINING: The winter training rides have officially started. As always,
they leave at 10 AM from Buchanans on Sat/Sun.
TRAINING CAMP: There was discussion of substituting several planned weekends at
Mt. Scott this winter in lieu of an official, overnight training camp.
