First I want to acknowledge everyone for a great performance this weekend at conference, it was a pleasure riding with you guys out there. It is unfortunately my last mountain season with wheelmen, but I will be coming back to race Norba as much as possible next year.
I realize Keith just put out an email for this weeks road rides, including a tomorrow morning Turri ride. I will be leading the same ride only at 11am leaving from foothill, and it will be an EASY pace, nothing crazy at all. Therefore, anyone who has never ridden before, this is another great chance to meet some guys on the team and learn some rides. Again, I will be leaving from Foothill at 11am, and will be back in time for class at 2pm. Everyone
should come out!
Iam leaving Monday afternoon (I get out at 12), and will be going to Oakland. Anyone in the area or on the way that wants to split gas money should let me know.
Hey everyone, looks like it'll be raining fire tonight again and it's supposed
to be a good one. the Leonids are coming to put on a show and I will be riding
to the top of Madonna to watch. Anyone want to join? I'll be at foothill at 12;
it'll be an easy pace and if you have a bright commuter light you should be fine
to ride.

The time has come. My beloved Fuji is going up for sale.
While not the lightest, stiffest, or sexiest, my Fuji has been an absolute workhorse for the past 4 years, and miraculously, has had no crashes, except for one very minor lay down that only scratched up the shift lever a bit (shown in photo). It has though been trained on and raced on consistently for those 4 years, so in my opinion would make for a perfect beginner's race bike or 2nd rain bike or really nice commuter or...??
Here are the specs:
Fuji Professional (aka "Team Issue") high modulus C7 Carbon 54cm seat c-c, 55.1cm top tube. This was also the first frame the Toyota United folks rode back in the day.
Alpha Q EX full carbon fork and steerer (this was just put on this summer because the stock Fuji fork was getting a bit soft for my peace of mind)
Full 7800 Dura Ace 10 speed, shifters, 53x39 cranks, derailleurs (brakes are 9 speed Dura Ace)
Bontrager Race X Lite wheels w/ Michelin Pro Race2 tires (these are the wheels I used only to race with)
Ultegra 12-25 cassette
Ritchey WCS 110mm aluminum stem
Ritchey WCS 42cm aluminum bars
Easton EC carbon (alu head) 27.2 seatpost
Selle Italia Signo saddle
Bontrager bottle cages
No pedals included
I'm sure I'm missing something so just email me. Asking $1000 or offer from Nexus, Wheelmen and locals before going up on Craigslist or eBay.

To: wccc-info@yahoogroups.com From: cannon.delay@... Date: Tue, 10 Nov 2009 22:12:35 +0000 Subject: [wccc-info] UCSB Race Important Notices
Everyone,
Here are a few important things to know about the upcoming conference championship race hosted by UCSB:
1. There is collegiate and non-collegiate racing. The flyer for the collegiate website is available on the WCCC Results page. The flyer for the non-collegiate races is available at RideSB.com. Be aware that there are non-collegiate categories only for XC and downhill, not Dual Slalom and Short Track. DS and STXC are collegiate only.
2. The speed limit in the ranch is 15 MPH. It is an active cattle ranch and there are cows everywhere. Please respect the speed limit.
3. People are welcome to shuttle the downhill course on Saturday and Sunday. You are responsible for organizing your own shuttle in your own car. We will have details about the shuttle route at the race.
4. As Hanns said in an earlier email, we will not be accepting team pay for this race. We will only accept cash or check for any transactions at the ranch (race entry fees, one day license sales, ranch entry fees.) The nearest ATM is 15 minutes to the south in Buellton.
5. There is a $10 per vehicle fee (cash or check only) for collegiate riders to enter the ranch.
6. We'll probably be having a barbecue on Saturday, and it will probably be free. Details to follow.
7. Finally, I'd like to emphasize our fire policy: no fires. Portable grills are fine, but fire pits, barrel fires, or open flames of any kind are prohibited.
Feel free to email me with any questions, and I'll see you this weekend.
Hello all, In my recent interest of the compiled beliefs of the book Traveller's Quest and a desire to see the grandeur of the Central California coast, I am planning a bike ride out of San Luis Obispo to San Francisco (Mill Valley) on the Highway 1 route. I will be leaving promptly after the semester ends, December 19th or so, and hopefully arriving up there by the 22nd or 23rd. Any further questions or interest to join me on this ride feel free to contact. It will be a enjoyable self-contained expedition on this heritage route. -Trevor "Supertramp" Bloom [skizzlerforlife@...]

Just trying to get myself and my bike to the race this weekend, if you've got room for either PLEASE shoot me an email ASAP! And if you need a tent to sleep in I've got one of those too.
-Brice
P.S. Hopefully all of you have seen my face photocopied in various places around campus. As part of this super-secret-mission I'm asking people, "why do you think Brice's face is everywhere?". Reply to this email with any logical/ridiculous hypotheses you might have!
Hi all,
Last night, between 7 pm and 10 am this morning, my Black Santa Cruz Blur LT was
stolen. If any of you see it around, please tell me.
530-263-2589
It has a gravity dropper seatpost, XT drivetrain, dt 5.1D laced to 340s hubs,
fox shock, fox vanilla fork.
any help is amazing
I was wondering if anybody had Hayes Stroker Ryde hydraulic discs to get me a spare part.
-Brake Lever Pivot Pin
I had one ordered, but the supplier shipped the wrong part. It is now being rush-ordered and may/may not be in time for the race this weekend in Santa Barbara. Anybody have anything? Let me know.
I've gotten a good amount of notecards so far but i just wanted to remind those that may have forgot. The deadline for the notecards is tomorrow (friday 11/13) at 6pm that is when foothill cyclery is closed and I am leaving right after to head down south for the meeting. You can bring the cards to my mailbox all day today and tomorrow you can come into the shop and hand them to me since I am working there all day tomorrow.
-There will be NO exceptions, if you do not have the card to me by 6pm tomorrow you will not be joining the team at the winter training camp.
Okay, so the paperwork did go through, as far as I understand. I am pleased to announce that bike fix will be on Dexter Lawn from 11-2. Come help set up and work on some bikes. Sorry for the multiple emails...
So, this week the Bike fix is going to be on Mott lawn, like usual, but hopefully next week we'll be moving to Dexter lawn. The paperwork is currently in the works, and being processed. Thanks for your patience.
I just got a new mountain bike today; anyone wanna go for a ride? I literally
don't know any trails around here yet. I'm down for anything within riding
distance of campus.
