I was driving back from Devon as City kicked off the new campaign, so I was
rather pleased that Five Live chose our game as their 3pm commentary. What
seemed very clear was that after the first ten minutes we settled down and
dominated much of the game. Earnie should have bagged a hatrick before
Healey scored the penalty and could have had a couple more after the break
too. I'm sure that he won't let his head drop after one luckless day and he
was clearly getting into lots of good positions - not bad for a lone
striker!

Yes, we need to pick up some points fast so we don't lose confidence, but I
was very pleased with our performance based on Five Live's coverage -
admittedly the summariser was Bryan Hamilton - and will look forward to my
first match with an open mind and usual optimistic outlook! MLS
