I have followed City since the late 60's and over the
years they have often been a team that have 2 seasons
in one. They either have a brilliant 1st half of a
season and a so so 2nd half or the other way round but
rarely haver they had a good whole season. Even last
year the 2nd half was better than the 1st (although
the 1st was not bad overall). We seem to have
transfered this to the game itself which is a bit
worrying. My point is that I am not to concerned at
the moment, yes like everyone else want a win and
getting sick and tired of everyone going on about us
not having one, but when we have played, see point
about 2 halves above, and not forgotten to get of the
bus for the 1st half we have played attractive,
positive football. As I said Norwich often finds a
period where they hit a run and I think they still
will as in history they have done this so often, wish
they would not as it has given me grey hair over the
years wondering when they are going to get going BUT
every time they have got going and things have worked
out.
City is good enough to stay up, they need a few
players to find their confidence (a goal or 2) and
then we will see it all coming right. Look at Francis
last night, his confidence is on the rise and you
could see he was going for anything he had half a
chance at. That normally comes with a bit of self
confidence. Let Leon or Hucks put together a couple of
goals and watch how they will start to believe they
can score from anywhere.
City will suddenly start winning and then we will
wonder why they could not do it before as nothing
obvious will have changed.
As things stand I think we can still look forward to
16th or above place.
