Once again we had a great turn out for the race. I think there were twenty eight riders on Sunday but   there was only one in my site for most of the race.  John McClure was the one I would be racing  today. We were talking after the race and we both had the same thought.  John was trying  to pull far enough away from me so he would have some space at the end to still beat me on his single speed.  I was 25 yard behind him thinking if I can maintain this distance until after we get out of the trees I might have a chance.  We came out of the trees side by side.  John said he heard the gears shifting on the Excalibur and knew it was over.  The two of us had a great race.  I saw several other close finishes as well.
