I blew out my knee the first time in high school
football. Spent the better part of my twenties not
doing a lot of things I could have because I was
worried about tearing it up again. Then I blew it
out again hopping off a semi-trailer. I figure if I
have to go through it again it will be because I was
out doing something fun I wanted to be doing.
Besides there ain't much some surgical stainless and a
used achilles tendon can't fix anymore. I am just
waiting for the "sports" version of the knee and ankle
replacements to come out.
Granted a person has to use some common sense and
do things according to their abilities. If you walk
out in front of a moving bus odds are pretty good you
aren't going to be around long. I don't get too
crazy riding around rocks or do any big jumps...
Although I did have a weird dream about we all built
a little ramp at Wilson and were taking rides of the
cliffs going airborn into the water..... made for good
video anyway.... but that's another story!
