hi there it's been a very busy weekend here.
the OHL's east division has been firming up for the playoffs.
the belleville bulls have finally passed Kingston for second place. it took some
help from the Barrie colts on Sunday night. things all got started Saturday
night with a 7-0 blasting of oshawa.
With Jon Cheechoo totally dominating the second period Showing that the sharks
did not make a mistake when the drafted him. Four goals and I don't think there
were any assists there but I was to busy watching the game to count one of these
days I'm going to bring a note pas and take notes. I thought I was watching a
repeat of last Saturday's game against Kingston. the sense that I got it that
the bulls are cranking it up a notch for the playoffs. but enough about
Saturday's game on to Sundays.
Sunday we made a trip to Toronto to play in one of the grandest buildings. the
game was played in maple leaf gardens the last of the great NHL building to be
left standing. To see the grand old lady for what could be the last time as the
leafs are selling the building (What a Shame) It started out looking like were
on our way to yet another romp but St. mikes had other plans although it looks
as if the bulls ran out of gas.it's hard when you play Saturday night and have
to turn around and play Sunday afternoon, I'm sure the Ottawa 67's have gained a
few points that way. but on with the game. St. mikes jumped out of the blocks
first with a quick goal at 1:42 (yes I'm using the score sheet here) the bulls
wasted no time in getting that back. they then went on to score 3 straight. St.
mikes scored 2 quick ones in the last 5 minutes to tie the score to end the
first. Belleville scored shorthanded in the second period to go ahead once again
but yet once again Toronto popped one in to tie the score at 4. The 3rd was very
flat and listless with both team having there chances to win the game but it was
the bulls at 18:33 to put the game away. final score 5-4 bulls.

As a side note maple leaf gardens is a wonderful building and too see it again
was just so nice. I took my fiancée and her brother who had never been there.
and too see the look in someone's eyes especially the eyes of a younger one..was
just so fitting. and to see the history unfold before you leaves you wondering
what it was like to be here in the days when the leafs rained supreme amongst
the elite of the NHL.
but enough about that I have a treat for all that want it. I have pictures of
both games and if you would like to see them I'll post them in here.
you can get to see something that you might get to see again the bulls on
Saturday were wearing there third jersey the old yellow ones I'm not found of
them. and if you wish we took pictures at the game in maple leaf gardens as
well. ok we made a side trip as well to the Hockey hall of fame but you really
don't want to see those.

as for the bulls this week there off to Ottawa this week tonight as a matter of
fact. then back home on Wednesday to face the pete's
