I'm sorry this has taken so long to be written, but this is the first time
I've been able to sit at the computer and do anything.

seattle at tri-cities.
referee: guest
linesmen: mitchellbook (who happens to be from Richland) and lemetti
1st
yashar farmanara gets the start.
1:30 into game and Thompson for tri-cities thinks I'm some sort of target.
Yashar checked shawn belle into the boards right in front of me.
Denis Tolpeko almost got an unassisted goal. welcome back tolpeco!
Yashar was tackled about 6 minutes into the game and no call. this was the
start of what guest would be doing all night. I guess you could say he was
consistantly missing things lol.
12:50 into the game brian bridges had a moment of sleepiness in net, but
with him what else is new lol.
tri-cities' brett festerling tackled yashar again with no call. halfway
through the period 3 calls missed 2 for seattle and 1 for tri-cities.
Gagnon made a beautiful behind the back pass to to ladislav skurko at the
halfway mark.
the letters that have the cities name on the scoreboard look strangly
familiar. i finally realize that it looks al lot like the old coloseum's in
seattle. I know it can't be because vancouver got it but make the same
company made it or something.
Chris durand got an unassisted goal at 13:01.
belle and gagnon say some nice words to each other at 13:37. it probably
had something to do with belle's getting a checking from behind penalty.
the officials seem to think that in front of my seat is the perfect place to
stand and "watch" the game.
when belle came out from his penalty he just about boarded tolpeko.
someone needs to remind fitzgerald that you can't just let your oponant
cross the blue line with the puck.
yashar got taken down by a high stick by brett festerling at 19:20
2nd
hanson passes well to scott jackson.
Tri-cities sucessfully has banned drums, but there is now a trumpet player
who plays 3 blind mice. I agree with his choice of music as it did fit, but
it wasn't played as expertly as I would like lol.
10:14 dylan stanley (isn't he like 30 now?) got two minutes for roughing
the trumpet player also knows the theme to the old mickey mouse club. Hmmm,
i wonder what kind of statement he was making there? lol
9:34 seattle decided to play with an extra man out there and yashar gets
stuck in the box for it.
11:12 derek couture got sent to the sin bin for slashing.
when yashar got out of the box he almost got possession of the puck, but he
got tripped up by someone/something.
Seattle needs to be more aggressive in getting to the puck at all times.
17:23 hansen gets lucky in that guest decided not to call him on tripping.
Brian Bridges has improved this year, but he still has plenty of moments
where he has no clue where the puck is or where he should be. I will have
to say that it is kind of impressive that he can use his psysic abilities to
stop the puck, but it sure scares the heck out of me because i have no way
of knowing if his using the force so to speak will backfire or not lol.
19:22 there was some roughing going on that almost broke into a fight. we
also were a little mean to their goalie and nothing was called :(
3rd
I was walking in the hallway during the intermission with a friend in a
t-birds jersey and some tri-cities fan said to us something to the effect of
t-birds suck. I answer back by saying scoreboard! and he actually makes
his comment again! so i say SCOREBOARD! even louder. some people need to
know when they can say a team sucks, and when they are ahead and #1 in the
division isn't the time to do that. if that person is somehow reading this,
maybe saying something like I don't like seattle would have been better or
maybe seattle will lose tonight.
Bretton Stamler had a tri-cities player's stick between his legs and no call
was made.
4:30 someone shot the puck right into Brian bridges' gut which resulted in
derek couture and dylan stanley roughing and being sent to the box for 2
minutes.
6:17 ladislav skurko scores and gives a bow to the young ladies sitting in
the front row aisle of section L
Interesting how it takes the ushers 48 minutes of game time to decide to
tell me that you can't kick the boards like you can in seattle and most
other cities. I ask politely if you can hit the glass like in everett and
in the ECHL and she says no. however she says NOTHING the the teenager 5
seats down from me who has been beating on the glass for the whole game.
the girs next to me said the other girl was "mental" in saying why she
could. I doubt that was the real reason. my guess its all the radiation
has affected the locals somehow. lol I was told the next day that my
friends on the other side of the ice was told to put their camera away after
54 minutes of game time. I warned them before the trip about bringing it,
however with the sign they have posted on the door, unless they had the
flash on i don't see why they were hassled (sign says no professional
cameras).
12:51 Ryan Gibbons gets a holding call for holding onto Hewitt while he was
roughing Gibbons. Derek Couture should have gotten at least a roughing for
ramming shawn belle in to the ice.
I yell to winger that he is being a "good example" to the fans when he
climbs on the penalty box glass and the next time he tries it the usher
(same one who talked to me) tells him he shouldn't be doing that and he
starts to comply until one of winger's bodyguads explains to her that he's
the mascot and can do anything.
19:48 tri-cities gets "scared" and calls a time-out.
the play stopped at 19:59.9 i would have just let it go lol.
star #1: brian bridges
star #2: connors, who also got the red robin award but I didn't catch what
it was for.
star #3: chris durand
plumber award: Festerling
the fans behind me at the very end of the game said the t-birds fans are
leaving, which made no sense to me as the 6 fans I noticed all stayed for
the 3 star announcement, and the fans behind me left.
Nice to see tri-cities still has their friday night autograph session. too
bad they don't dot he program poster anymore, but the little bookmark they
sign is cool too.
