ok this is the second time i'm doing this and if the computer eats it again
it will DIE!
Ok I've never done this before, so I doubt it will be any good, and this is
the second attempt at it today, so it won't even be as good as intended. I
don't know when I'll ever do another one but since I actually took score I
might as well share the info. I did have a little help from the official
WHL site but 95% of it is mine.
After spending six hours on the road in interesting driving conditions, I
was ready for a win. It didn't happen. The PA announcer must have left his
pronunciation notes at home, as I was hearing some odd ways of saying even
"easy" names. Spokane's radio broadcaster sounded familiar, but I couldn't
place from where. His name is Jay Stewart. In the second period Potter
decided he could get the best view of the play by standing directly in front
of DelCampo. DeHaan seemed to enjoy getting in the way of either the puck
or the players. In the third period Potter got hit by a puck and maybe a
player (does getting out of the way ring a bell here?). Spokane's sixth
goal got everyone a coupon for a free chalupa. That kind of made me
nostalgic for the days when we would chant WE WANT PIE! My section was the
loudest so we also got a coupon for a free pizza. When they announced it
they put me on the jumbotron for a minute or two, so I waved to anyone who
might know me. No one seemed to impress me for good or bad. The T-birds
however did very well for having numerous suspensions including the head
coach. Benke was well Benke, but his size seemed to have impressed a guy
sitting near me. Black got a hat trick as well as the second star. Too bad
I couldn't find my hat, as it would have been on the ice. Pannoni made some
excellent saves as well as let some in that should have been saves. He
reminded me of Cody Rudkowsky before he learned to put on the equipment
properly. Maybe Pannoni should look into that lol. McLachlan and Lindsay
are showing marked improvement, and Black was just plain amazing. I was
surprised that there weren't any fights. There was a situation that could
have become a fight but cote was smart and restrained himself. I only
noticed one missed call so I would think that means the officails did a good
job.
