Greetings on this fine evening! The Equestrian Guild has finalized the drill and procession plans for Tailteann Games. Thank you to everyone who worked on the drills - both this week and at our mini-collegium. We have a final drill plan - with probable horse/riders designated based on RSVPs for the event and on who was able to practice. This drill is timed exactly to the music that goes with it (from the Lunasa CD - Track 4).
The drill instructions are in a PowerPoint, because it was the easiest format for me to use for instructions and drawings. If you can't read this Powerpoint, I will be converting it to a pdf file when I get to work on Monday and will resend that way.
Let me know if you are planning on attending but are not on the list of riders. I think some of these riders are still tentative, and there may be others of you that are coming whom we haven't heard from yet. Everyone who comes should be able to walk in the procession pieces - it will simply make the back "line" a little longer, which is fine.
The main items in the drill are as follows:
Procession (at walk)
Thread the Needle (at Trot)
Cantabrian Gallop (at the Canter)
Xyema - Spear Throw (at the gallop)
Procession to exit (at walk)
Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
Nesta
