Show off and have fun at Coursers & Quivers - Equestrian and Archery Championships.  We will have many different equestrian games for you that Ceceila, Unser Hafen's reigning champion, is planning!!  There are potential horses for you to borrow for the day - but you would need to contact Monica at Sun Pony Ranch right away if you were interested and would be required to take lessons/try them out in advance (time is running out for this option).  Here are the details:

Event is August 3rd at Sun Pony Ranch in Berthoud (www.sunponyranch.com)
Horses can arrive between 9 a.m. - noon
Practice from 10 a.m. - noon
Lunch is from noon - 1 p.m.
Equestrian contests from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m. (or thereabouts depending on numbers)

If you are also an archer, we encourage you to also bring your gear and shoot archery from 10 a.m. - Noon.

There will be a donation lunch provided by the Smiling Bull on site - so no need to pack a lunch!

Fees are $10 for riders or archers (and if you do both - still $10), $3 site fee for everyone else.  We're trying to cover the $300 site/insurance costs for the event.

Please e-mail Ceceila if you're planning on riding so that she can best plan the events.  I know she is trying to make sure that everyone gets plenty of chances to do the games.  Her e-mail is in the CC above (kimberone1@...), and she is on the UnserHafen Equestrian list.

We were thinking of having everyone write up their information about their persona and their horse's name/persona, and then have a herald read it (we need to enlist the help of a good herald for this).  Think about what you want read about you and the horse you ride - and write it up on a card or sheet.  We'll let each rider come in one at a time for the introductions.

Any questions? Requests?  Ideas to make it the best event yet?  Let us know!!  We are open to suggestions and are hoping to have a great turnout - Let's make this the largest equestrian competition yet!

Oh - if you need to get authorized or want to come out and practice, we are having an official practice at Mountain View Stables in Ft Collins on Sunday July 20th 10 a.m. - Noon.  Let me know if you'd like to come.  If you contact me in advance we may also be able to do the authorization in the morning before the event - but its better if you can come in advance and get some practice time in.

Thanks,

Nesta
