Thanks for introducing the topic, Nesta.
I agree the fun show is perfect event for the SCA to do a demo at.
As a fun show, the emphasis is for people to get out and try a show
that don't normally get to do that. It's low key and all about the
fun. There is always a good sized audience of horse enthusiasts. It
is held at the Fairgrounds in Longmont.
I'm happy to help with any coordination with BCHA. Lady Morgan -
not sure we've met, but it would be interesting to compare notes. I
served on the BCHA board 02-04.
Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the practice this weekend
as we're going to my neice's graduation in NM. I look forward to
hearing what gets discussed.

Association is interested in having us do a demo at their fun show
in October (October 19) in Boulder (of course). Are we interested
in doing this? I'm thinking yes, because many of you mentioned
wanting to do the "right kind" of demo. This is a low key horse
group, and it is called a "fun show" so it might just be the right
venue for us. And we still have time to practice! Let me know if
you're interested. If so, we'll need to get a proposal (simple is
probably fine) to the Hospitaller to approve this as a demo.
Although those other than the equestrians are not necessary at this
demo, it might be even more impressive to have the right group of
others come along with us. Not the standard demo people, but a well
turned out Herald for instance, would be helpful. Also, since this
would be an official equestrian activity, we would need to request
the $50 insurance rider for the demo.

due to my school schedule. So if there is someone who is motivated
about this activity, and would like to take the reins, so to speak,
let us know! This will need someone to coordinate with BCHA and
then communicate with the group about what is needed. We can work
as a group at our practices to come up with a good schedule for the
demo.
