Our Equestrian Practice is this Sunday, May 11th at Mountain View Stables in Ft Collins (www.mvsaa.com) from 10 a.m. - Noon.
Let me know if you are planning on attending with a horse. We will be getting ready for our Crossroads event, including possibly working on some parade drills as well as more practice on our quintain. Authorizations are possible at this practice; let me know if you are interested in trying to get authorized. Unfortunately there are no rental horses available at our practices.
However, for those interested in Equestrian Champions event on August 3 - Sun Pony Ranch is willing to let their horses be used for those willing to take lessons in advance or if already an advanced rider, do a pre-ride or two to get used to the horse (there are fees involved with both the pre-rides and the day of the event). You can find their contact information at www.sunponyranch.com.
Moyra - If you guys are coming out on Sunday, would you mind bringing your quintain lance again? We're still working on ours (or not working to be more specific). We did use the fiberglass lance last practice, which worked ok, and was definitely lighter weight than the wood version.
Let's talk about Crossroads - grand entry/parade/procession at our practice and work out some cool "moves".
