Mary Katherine,
Unser Hafen riders are showing a lot of interest in looking into
practices at Sun Pony. Would you be willing to check on arena fees
for practices and what type of deal they would offer for letting our
riders ride their horses? If we could make this a monthly practice
in conjunction with Caer Galen, that might be ideal. Morgan
mentioned that Saturdays work best for her - so maybe Saturdays out
there? Do you think that could work? Maybe late afternoon, after
their regular riding lessons are over?
Crossroads event in Byers is going to be hosting equestrian
activities on Sunday, May 25th at their event which is at a
fairgrounds with stalls and a decent arena. So I think for an event
out at Sun Pony, maybe we could look at something a little later in
the season than we did last year. Especially if we were to start
having practices out there once a month, then some of us that would
want to ride Sun Pony horses, could get used to the horses before an
actual event. We could also think of fun things to do at the
practices, maybe practice Roman drills or something if we get enough
horses & riders out there.
Let me know what you all think!
Nesta
