I emailed the CA State Parks about which parks will be closed. Below
is their response. Attached is the list of the pending parks to be closed.
Mt. Diablo is on the list.

the website to do something is www.savestateparks.org
i would like to think this is a scare tactic but our parks are too important to gamble that please contact your legislators and let them know state parks are essential for the well-being of our state --education, vacation, environmental access, etc not to mention what it will cost to close and lose the maintenance of buildings, trails, and campgrounds--state of california will never have the money to reopen most parks if we let them deteriorate--and then there are those who will encamp themselves and cause more damage and yes some will use for illegal activities --and there will not be money available for law enforcement in closed parks
and as we know if we don't show interest and outrage at the
proposition of closures our legislators will assume we could care less--look at some of the folks we've elected to high positions by our apathy

I'm not getting too concerned about this. I see it as a basic scare tactic. Now we should be much more willing to accept an increase in fees or more taxes--'cause ostensibly we want the parks to stay open. Typical politics as usual in "Colly Fornya".

A letter alone with do little or nothing....the failure to pass the propositions in May was the death sentence. How many of you cyclists voted against those propositions???? I voted for all of them...we had no choice...and it is only going to get worse!
