Join Us for Transportation Advocacy Day in Olympia!

The Bicycle Alliance of Washington and other like-minded groups are heading to Olympia on Tuesday, January 29 for Transportation Advocacy Day.  We hope you will join us!  We will be advocating for action on climate change, better transportation choices, and healthier transportation. 

The Bicycle Alliance is especially interested in getting funding authorized for a pilot project in three school districts (Kitsap, Island and Grant Counties) that would instruct PE teachers in how to teach students to safely get around by biking, walking and using transit.  We are also supporting policy that will add bicycle and pedestrian safety to the basic minimum curriculum for driver training.

Flexcar has donated a fleet of cars for advocacy day so all we need is your commitment and we'll take care of the rest!  We'll provide coffee and bagels in the morning and a light lunch at noon.
