OLYMPIA CITY COUNCIL SEEKS ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBERS
(Olympia, WA) Monday,
March 2, 5:00 p.m. is the deadline to apply for a City of Olympia
citizen-member advisory committee. Information and forms are posted on
the City of Olympia website, www.olympiawa.gov.
The following positions will
be considered:
- Arts Commission - 5 positions, two of which are vacant
- Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee - 3 positions, one of which is vacant
- Design Review Board - 1 business or development representative and 1 licensed architect
- Heritage Commission - 5 positions, one of which is vacant
- Lodging Tax Advisory Committee - 1 manager or representative from a lodging establishment/hotel in the City of Olympia
- Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee – 4 positions, one of which is vacant
- Planning Commission - 3 positions, one of which is vacant
- Utility Advisory Committee - 4 positions, one of which is vacant
- Thurston Community Television - one opening for the Olympia-appointed Board member
Olympia’s committees and
commissions advise the City Council on a variety of policy issues.
Some committees also help plan and implement city projects and
activities identified on an annual work program.
Committee members are
community volunteers who are appointed by the Olympia City Council.
Residency or other requirements may apply.
