broken kick start   Message List

I have a '69 cl175 and the splines on the kick start
shaft are really worn out. I've broken two bolts
trying tighten the kick starter down as much as i
could, but even before the bolts broke I could get one
or two good kicks in before it just slipped on the
shaft. Is there an easy way to fix this? I was
thinking I could drill a hole through the kick starter
and the shaft and put a bolt through it, but I don't
know if thats the best way to do it. Any info is
appreciated.

Marty
