I have a '69 cl175. It used to run, but yesterday I turned the ignition on and tried to kick start it with no luck. A friend of mine put a battery charger on it, and then tried to kick start it, and got it running. So I got on the bike and was going to ride it home but I turned the lights on and the engine died. I was wondering if the battery is bad or if there's a problem with the charging system? Another thing that confuses me is that there's no electric start on the bike at all so why won't it start if the battery is dead?

Any help is appreciated,
Marty
