James, Pistons are a big question. Most people getting the best hp are using some kind of custom piston they have made special. I use 56, and 57mm pistons on...

James, You see them come up on ebay pretty often...usually in oversizes. Also any "ART" NOS aftermarket pistons are good, they were the OEM supplier for Honda....

I don't think it was an official tear down, he was opening his motor after the race and the race director just sat down and watched to see what was in there....

That sounds reasonable....I know I have my open often enough :) But if they didn't do careful bore and stroke measurements it wouldn't address displacement...
