Real Nice work John,

I blew my motor at Spokane race way last weekend.  Dropped the right Intake valve again @ 7000 RPM under a load.  Same failure as last time.  The bike was very fast up to that point and I was on my way to a second first for the weekend.  We will rebuild it using a straight 175 head and 6 mm valve stems.  I just want to get it to the point where it will make it through an entire season. How is your season going?

For those interested I have updated my website with a pretty good run
down on the installation of a high capacity oil cooler on a 175 race
bike.

Robin, Any idea why it's dropping the intake? I've done an exhaust once but never the intake. I'm using 5.5mm stem Ferrea intakes. That rpm is way low for...
