Re: [CB175RaceTech] Re: 160 float needle #'s

well the fibre washers didn't work, the only thing I can think of is to pull the petcock again and check the mating surface where the mounting screws hit...and clean them up with a dremel. and hit the hardware store for some new washers. I replaced the lever/wave washer/rubber/on-off-res plate & screws with new parts off a new petcock I got off ebay that turned out not to be for a 160.

nice thing about servicehonda.com, you can look at any parts fiche on line and it will tell you if the part is still available...but 5 different needle & seats... go figure, but I think the petcock is the bad guy here..

Dale,
I just checked my CL160 parts manual and it doesn't even list seperate
carb parts....just shows the whole carb...Carb Assembly!
Wow...expensive way to replace a bad float or something.

Strange thing about some of the earlier models..things like jets and
float valves used a non-standard (Japanese standard) threads. Sometime
in the mid 60's they went to standard metric.
