I've got shoes too. I'll see if I can fit this drum in my lathe...if
it needs turning...and I'll arc the shoes if I can turn the drum.
Figure another $50 for the shoes and the work...or $20 for just the
shoes if the drum needs turning and I can't do it. Usually your local
autopart/machine shop can turn the drum if need be.
You are going to need a spoke kit...I get mine from
Buchanan...basically just a CB160 spoke kit...(stainless)...if you
know what kind of rim you are going to use sometimes they'll want to
know that (in addition to what size rim).
I'll get on it as soon as possible...I think I've got my lathe work
done for now...so I can move the chuck onto the rotary table on the
mill.... I ought to buy another freakin chuck so I don't have to keep
doing this. I mention this because I do all the venting/lightening
work on the drum mounting in a chuck on the milling machine.
