CB350 front end on CB175   Message List

Just curious is the front wheel/brake a bolt on swap? Does this give
any better braking. Also how about the forks/triple tree, is this a
straight swap?

AD, Actually the CB160 brake is better than a stock CB350, both are 180mm brakes...the stock 175 brake is 170mm I think. I know a well setup 160 will stop...

Cool, I guess the problem is CB350 brakes are common as muck, and the only 160 brake I've found looks like it's been in a lake for 10yrs.. ;) I'll keep...

The CB160 brakes are pretty common on Ebay. I have at least one here, maybe more. Probably worth your time to find one when compared to a 350 brake. The 160...

I found a spare CB160 brake, pretty nice condition. $50 as is. $100 with all the vent/lightening machining done...holes in hub, backing plate, spoke flange. ...

A.D., I've got shoes too. I'll see if I can fit this drum in my lathe...if it needs turning...and I'll arc the shoes if I can turn the drum. Figure another $50...
