Stock Fork leaking from bottom   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1150 of 1326 |
My fork started making some unsettling sounds the other day. Figured
it was low on fork oil so I added some. It left a nice puddle under
the bike almost immediately. It appears to be leaking from the screw
going in directly at the bottom. The parts diagram I have doesn't even
list the screw. I'm just wondering if it is just a screw or is there a
seal that goes in there as well.

Bike has been running good (although not to good in the snow I've
found). It even had a little incident with a Yukon XL a few weeks back
and came out on top. Have maybe 750 miles on the spare engine and
spare carbs without holing the piston although I haven't spent much
time on the highway.

Thanks. Forgot to post. Seems that it wasn't leaking from the bottom but rather the tubes and forks had seperated completely so if I did a wheelie I would...
