Beth,
I just put seals and oil in my CB200 forks. Old springs, bushings, etc. I am sure if you wanted cool springs, Works Performance would make them for you. That said, I don't think it would help, and may even hinder the handling. My bike tends to under steer when I push it really hard, so a stiffer front end would only make that worse. I have considered playing with springs/shocks in an effort to get it to over steer a little, but haven't really made a serious effort on the R&D
The engine is pretty much bullet proof now. Kibblewhites in the stock size, very minor porting (really just smoothing), Les Barker springs and keepers, .50 over Honda pistons, 24mm Keihin's, D.I.D. Gold on Gold Kart Racing chain for the cam chain, Bateman tensioner, all carefully balance and assembled. 18.3 hp, runs like a champ, and requires very little maintenance. Enough power to win every race I entered this season except one DNF from a plugged petcock and the resulting custom ported piston dome.
If you do this, make sure you use the Les Barker CB160 springs. They are stiffer, and allow the engine to turn extra RPM safely. If you can catch a tow off a big bike, it will REALLY sing! I am installing a set this winter....
