Hey everyone. I have been very busy fading my Lawncare/Landscape
business out and turning my knowledge of Taxidermy into a full time
business. I have my Taxidermy Studio complete and work has picked up
greatly.
But I thought I would drop a line here to let you all know whats
transpired over the past week. Karl Lauer had been in talks with me
for awhile about the CAC Board of Directors. And after some time to
discuss this with my wife,Annette I told Karl I would accept a
nomination to the CAC board of directors. Well this past week Karl
sent word to the board for a vote. Dean Silverstone seconded the
nomination and the votes began. With in 48 hours I received enough
votes to win this seat on the board of directors. A few was out of
town and have since voted. I am humbled to say I received all "YES's".
I know several of the CAC boards Members but theres a few special to
me and my wife, Jason,Karl,Penny,Juan,Les,Bob Kelly & Red Bastein this
few have took a kid from North Carolina and made him feel right at
home with the CAC. And I thank them and hope I live up to there
expectations.
One person that is not on the board of directors, but is a CAC honoree
that I will never forget is Jimmy Valiant. Jimmy brought me to this
game and I will never forget him or his lovely wife Angel.
HOWEVER, one of the members in the CACF group that is on the board
didnt vote. It was Jason Sanderson aka WOLFMAN. I had called Jason
earlier last week to discuss booking him against Barbarian for a show
in Nov. I mentioned to him about the vote. Jason said in his heart
felt way,Morgan,do you want my condolences or congratulations? Well
Jason took off to AFRICA! So he didnt get the news in time. I feel
knowing Jason the way I do, He took this trip just to avoid voting!
That way when things get tough I cant blame it on him! A BIG LOL!
Jason is in Africa doing his missionary deal and doing very good deeds
for that part of the world. My hats off to him for the work he does.
But I am humbled to know the CAC has put there faith in the "younger
generation". And allowed me to be a part of the continued growth of a
great organization. I look forward to working with the CAC board & I
look forward to seeing you all in Vegas in June!
Take care,
Morgan
