I read the answer about being mid week that Morgan gave, could not
have said it better if you were in the executive committee meeting
when we made the decision to try it. The 2 key reasons were first the
request from a lot of members that are workers in the wrestling
business to make it possible for them to attend, most are afraid to
lose a booking on the week end, and the rates are a much better deal
all around.
As you check the web site, every week or so we will highlight a
different honoree with photos and a story. Already the ladies and the
Lou Thesz have been posted, the most gracious Betti Nicoli, if you
never met her your in for a treat, another Penny Banner with black
hair, and the super hero of so many Dr Death Steve Williams. A real
gentlemen and friendly person who has done it all in the wrestling
business, He will have his book that in a most inspirational book you
will read in a long time Dr Death becomes Dr Life, may not be quoting
the title exactly as i loaned my copy to a friend.
I wish i could let the cats out of the bags of all the other honorees
but our webmasters are doing such a great job with the site and they
want to make it a reason to keep checking the site. Morgan Dollar and
Wes Daniel
have made our site one of the most frequently checked site on the
net, over 8000 a day average they tell me. You will also notice we do
not do pop ups and try to sell you a ton of stuff, our site is
donated by Jason Deadrich and controlled by only our web masters.
They have always kept you posted on CAC related items, we are not
interested in rumors, negative comments or trash talking. The WWE
problems are theirs and we do not judge or play favorites from one
group to another.
Our goal is the bring as many together for old memories, renewed
friendships and make new ones, with a benevolent purpose of offering
a helping hand when possible and DESERVED.
I will try to post a little more often this coming year, as there is
so much great things coming with the new President Nick Bockwinkel,
We expect this one to break our previous record of 712 at the
banquet, hope you are all a part of this.
Be well
