John Salako's second month on loan at Reading comes to an end after their game against Port Vale when he is set for further talks on his future. <br> Salako has been in fine form for The Royals after joining them on loan in order to play first-team football and his current spell ends after their New Year's Day game with Vale. <br> The Second Division outfit are understood to be interested in making the move permanent but the former Coventry and Crystal Palace ace's wages could prove to be a stumbling block. <br> Reading boss Alan Pardew is expected to contact Alan Curbishley about the possibility of extending the loan deal in the middle of the week with a view to a permanent move.<br><br>©teamtalk
